The home was exactly as described (including photos). Since we are from the area, we knew Portage Lakes is a great/quiet/beautiful area. Leslie did a wonderful job updating the home. Moring coffee to evening nightcaps, the decks provided an incredible atmosphere! We will be looking for this home every time we return to Ohio (o matter what the season)! Thanks for a great stay!!

Heather was very quick to respond. She left a binder full of good information if you’re unfamiliar with the area. The kids loved the board games as well.

The king bed was very comfortable, including the pillows. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed walking the dogs around the lake and the fenced area.

We traveled from Florida to Ohio to visit family and friends, and stayed in this great place in Portage Lakes. It was close to everything we needed, and at the same time felt very private because of the lush surroundings.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home. It is the most ideal location I could have imagined if you’re looking to be close to the Akron Ohio area. This is the place for you. It’s beautiful, bright, open, and in a quiet peaceful neighborhood in a great location. Quick and easy access anywhere you need to go. There is a lot of space and Evan was available and responded quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be back when in the area again.

My husband and I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary weekend! The hose was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The location with lake view was amazing! Loved the porch and spent a lot of time there. Loved the neighborhood. Everyone was so friendly. The weather was beautiful so we really enjoyed being able to be outside at the lake, take walks together, enjoy sunsets and mornings and evenings on the porch. I would definitely go there again!

Had a wonderful time staying right on the lake. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs - not more than one flight; but a lot of transitional steps in between living areas. This might be relevant to anyone with mobility issues. Melanie was an incredible host and helped with all of our needs. The location is in a lovely neighborhood that is fun to explore. We really enjoyed the pier and kayaks provided.

This place is so peaceful and quiet. Loved the lake/pond and the wildlife. Geese and big, Fat groundhogs. The house itself has been nicely updated. There are neighbors, but I only saw them once or twice. The owners are super nice! The house does have well water. There is a mineral odor to the water. Just bring some bottled water. It’s well worth the price. We would definitely stay again.

This home was the perfect getaway for the weekend. Photos are accurate, hot tub was clean, and the response time from Amanda was excellent. They even allow dogs and have a fenced in yard, which was super convenient. Will hopefully book this place again in the future!

super clean and cute on the inside. thankful for the colored porch lights. my only wish is that with it being such a hot week the a.c. would have been on prior to arrival. but overall a great stay ❤️

Had a great weekend at the Portage Lakes with our dogs. The host has great recommendations and easy to follow instructions. The doors get stuck and are noisy but to be expected with an older house, I would also recommend more throw blankets down stairs to help with the coziness. Thanks for being a great host.

I saw a few negative reviews and was hesitant to book, however we booked anyway and I’m glad we did! Our host was amazing. The house is clearly old but a work in progress and fit our family perfectly! We were in town for my daughter to compete in a dance competition. Everything was at pictured, clean, and well kept. Hot water in the shower was hot on demand. Kitchen was small but worked perfectly for our little family. The outside/back yard area was quaint and we spent a decent amount of time relaxing on the front porch where you get a semi view of the near by lake!! 10/10 would recommend this listing and booking with this host! Thank you so very much for letting us use your home while away from ours.

The place was a perfect size for our family for a weekend away. We had an issue with the hot tub and they were very quick to respond.

We had a fantastic stay, highly recommend!! The place was super clean and fun to stay in. The description and listing photos were super accurate - right down to the barn cats outside! We all enjoyed watching them outside from the beautiful sun room, and the house was super clean and cozy inside. The coffee was good too.

Omg this place is so unique and fun! First of all there is Taylor Swift vinyl to play. Second of all there are 500 photo ops. Third of all I could bring my dog. I loved everything about my stay. Instead of using the cute and functional looking kitchen, I went to Merchant Tavern and recommend it to everyone who stays here. Dannie was responsive to my questions and gave good suggestions for what hikes to do in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I will likely book again when I have tickets to Blossom Music Center over the summer.

Had great time nice place little pricey but ok and would loved to come back

A group of my friends and I rented the home for one night to host our 5th Murder Mystery Game and we were blown away with how perfect this place was for it! We had plenty of space for the food we brought and everyone had a place to stay to sleep. It was nice and private, which is exactly what we were looking for. Some of my friends can get a little loud during these events, which is exactly why we chose this place for the lack of quiet hour restrictions. The space was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we would need, even cookies for us to enjoy upon arrival (which were delicious). A lot of us discussed possibly returning during the summer because we loved it so much!

The place was perfect for our girls/cousins weekend. It was cute, clean, and had everything we needed. The weather was not cooperative for patio/outside time, but the inside offered plenty of space to hang out and also to sleep.

Great location for this home, and for the needs of my family. Home could use some updating, but overall serviced our family well.

We loved staying in Johnnys house for our wedding weekend. There was lots of room, for everyone and Johnny was very accommodating!

the place was very beautiful and clean, the only thing I think that could of made it better was having a washer and dryer to be able to wash your dirty wet clothes after being on the kayaks !!! my husband and I and the kiddos enjoyed our time !!! thanks again
