Our daughter had wonderful experiences in her 2 stays, one with just her dog & one with her husband and dog. She had raved about this place and about Margo, so we booked at our first opportunity, & will return at the next. The house is well-supplied with every need, and the choices of seating are all comfortable. My husband has a back issue; at home, he sleeps mostly in a Lazy-boy chair. At Hill Top, he was able to sleep longer in bed, & napped in one of the comfy chairs. From the house, we took 3 different routes to sightsee, and each route had beautiful forests & farms along the way. Natural Bridge State Park, Stanton which has a lovely little family-owned restaurant, Beattyville where the 3 forks of the Kentucky River merge, Irvine and Ravenna have long historical ties to railroads, and of course, Red River Gorge are all places to enjoy. Even if one wants to spend a few days hanging out, this is a very special, peaceful place to spend time with yourself and with family!

Review for The Muir Valley Overlook House, Campton, KY I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Muir Valley Overlook house, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! Nestled in a beautifully serene setting, this spacious and impeccably clean house provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights of my stay was the fabulous hot tub, which was nothing short of a blissful retreat after a day of hiking adventures in the breathtaking surroundings. There’s something incredibly relaxing about soaking in a hot tub under the stars, and this one did not disappoint. The expansive living space was perfect for unwinding and enjoying some downtime. An unexpected bonus was the selection of video games, which added an extra layer of fun to our evenings. Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, this house is equipped to keep everyone entertained. Thank you Breck and Linda! 🙂

My family and I had a lovely time at Harry and Jill's. Unfortunately, it rained A LOT while we were there, but we still enjoyed the board games and hot tub. There is not a lot in the nearby surrounding area, so any restaurant or substantial hike is about 45 minutes away. There is 1 hike available within 5 minutes walking distance of the property. The property itself is private and peaceful. The house is very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. I would definitely recommend Harry and Jill's for a quiet and relaxing getaway in the woods.

I recently stayed at this cabin for the weekend, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making it feel immediately welcoming and comfortable. The surrounding area was incredibly peaceful — perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The setting was beautiful, with nature right outside the door, and it was clear that a lot of care was put into making the space cozy and inviting. The amenities were exactly as described (and even better than expected), and everything we needed was readily available. Overall, this cabin offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and charm. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Such a cute, quaint treehouse cabin. Loved the location. Road to the cabin is fairly steep and gravel. A 4-wheel drive is recommended. Would be a great place for a long weekend of hiking or just relaxing.

This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. We appreciate that a lot! The location was amazing and close to everything. The yard space for the kids to play while we grilled and sat by the fire was amazing. Thanks for the stay!

Absolutely loved the Briar Patch cabin! It was extremely clean, peaceful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend and will be sharing with friends and family!

This was a great place to stay and a very good location to all the activities at Red River Gorge (only like a 15 min drive)! Of course some of the hiking trailheads are further away any resturaunt, store, etc... you can easily get to within 15 mins from the Airbnb. The place was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable! Sarah was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. Her list of recommendations was also super helpful and all the resturaunts that we got to try were amazing! We will definitely be booking here again if we return to the Gorge!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the comfort and attention to detail in this beautiful contemporary cabin. It offers the perfect blend of modern amenities and cozy charm, making it an ideal place to unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the hike to Sunset Point—an incredible added bonus (We loved the ropes!)! The trail was beautiful, and the views at the top were absolutely breathtaking. After a day of exploring, relaxing in the hot tub under the stars was pure bliss. The time spent by the fire, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, was the perfect way to end each evening. The location is fantastic—peaceful and secluded, yet close to Red River Gorge and other outdoor adventures. The hosts were incredibly responsive and ensured everything was perfect for our stay.
