We had an absolutely wonderful time at Stephen’s house! my brother came with his 3 kids and they had so much fun that they didn’t want to leave. There were plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and the pool was perfect. The grill and outdoor space provided exactly what we needed for some enjoyable family time. It was a perfect trip that truly felt good for the soul!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The house was beautiful and large enough for my family of 6. We enjoyed the hot tub with views of an icy lake. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and fresh. We went bowling and found great restaurants in nearby by Warwick. We would love to return soon!

Paula and her place are absolute gems. Communicating with her felt like talking to a friend whose place I was going to be staying at, and it felt like that when we arrived as well. I loved the art and thoughtful touches in each room, and our large group felt cozy yet everyone had their own privacy. The space is actually much larger and more beautiful than the photos even convey! The private trails were stunning and magical— I walked barefoot on the carpet-like moss covered forest paths leading to a Stonehenge-esque clearing with giant boulders. The deck and outdoor space is lovely and has stunning views. So peaceful and quiet with some surprise owl and hawk sightings.

My parents and I really enjoyed our stay at Mark’s. His house was beautifully situated right on Lake Mahopac with plenty to do in town and in the surrounding area. Everything was as described and met all of our needs. Mark was extremely accommodating with our length of stay (~ 6 weeks) and allowing us to bring our animals (2 dachshunds, 1 cat). Check-in was easy and upon arrival we were greeted with a gift basket and a binder with all sorts of info (emergency, food, fun activities). The backyard was beautiful, completely fenced in, and super convenient for the pups. When we had questions, all we had to do was send off a quick text and Mark responded in a timely manner. I can’t recommend Mark’s place enough!

We had a lovely weekend at Claudine's. The property is serene. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We also loved having the sauna. We wanted to grill, but propane was not included in the grill and incurred an extra cost or we had to bring our own tank. For the price and nature of the house, including something like this seems fair. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Cannot thank Stephen enough for taking care of us after a major mess up. We were able to get in and relax and enjoy. So grateful for all he did for us on a graduation weekend.

Beautiful location and a beautiful spacious apartment decorated very cozily with a creative and homey feel. Well stocked with kitchen, bathroom and bedding needs. Joan and Jim where a delight to deal with, with clear communication and a genuine appreciation and concern for our needs and satisfaction. coming from an extremely rural and isolated home life I found the industry along the river and area to be of minimal noise and distraction from the natural beauty of the area but suspect most people would barely notice it. The place even came equipped with binoculars witch I used regularly to bird watch into the woodland whilst sitting on the back deck. There are alot of stairs to deal with but it is completely worth the decent/climb to the beautiful locations they serve and the hot tub was always ready for us to use! All-in-all it was an immensely pleasurable stay and I would recommend this home to anyone that likes nature on your doorstep and shops/amenities close at hand.

The cabin was beautiful and well equipped! Plenty of towel and toiletries and a lovely kitchen (there was even coffee and spices on hand.)The star is the downstairs bar room - features a huge bar, complete with a wash sink, fridge and ice machine - just around the corner is a movie room with six actual movie seats, a great place for a film or to play some Nintendo!

Suzanne was a fantastic host and the house was everything we expected…just as described and pictured! Extremely responsive, great communication and a perfect place for our long weekend getaway close to family! We will return!

Ellen’s place was beautiful and cozy. The kitchen worked perfectly and even though it was April it was still a bit chilly so the wood stove was a welcome amenity. The shower was great and there was a soaking tub. It was quiet and beautiful. We like all the art and it was very homey.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Gaby's home. Unlike many Airbnb hosts who design their spaces to feel like generic hotels, Gaby’s place radiated warmth, personality, and charm. It felt like a home that had been truly lived in and loved, with thoughtful, personal touches like family photos, unique art, and an impressive collection of books that added so much character. Gaby herself was an incredible host—always responsive, friendly, and approachable. She’s the kind of person I'd love to sit down and chat with. The setting was absolutely stunning. We had snow, the lake was frozen, and the wintry view was really peaceful. The abundance of wildlife made it even more special—we spotted deer, bald eagles, a couple of foxes who visited every morning, and even a bobcat prancing around the house one evening. We also love to cook, and Gaby’s kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to play chef If you’re looking for an authentic and unforgettable Airbnb experience

Wonderful place, wonderful hosts, loved it!!

The apartment is nice and cozy. Great for a couple's weekend getaway. The kitchen is very well equipped, we had everything we needed. We came from the city by train, it was a breeze getting to cold spring and back. You can walk to the apartment in like 10 minutes from the station. No need for a car.

Chris’ place was immaculately decorated and felt peaceful! Beautiful spot right on the pristine lake, foliage being in peak season definitely made things even better. Close to fun fall towns like Sleepy Hollow and Cold Spring, but honestly could just spend every minute relaxing at the well-stocked home. You can tell Chris and his family take pride in their home and are happy to share it to price the best experience for their guests. Chris was quick to respond if needed and went out of his way to make a trip quickly to ensure we were properly taken care of at the home. 10/10 - would recommend!

No way to say enough about this amazing property. My kids were endlessly entertained by the variety of toys, incredible arts and craft room, hiking trails, play house and beautiful chickens. This family is so kind to share so much of their space. The children’s art supplies are unbelievable. The home itself for us adults so so relaxing and warm. Sitting by the fire with the massive windows looking into the woods was the best. Our hosts were super responsive and gave us loads of great recommendations. My 5 year old understandably cried when it was time to go. We will certainly be back.

We had a fabulous long week end at Rachel s home. It was simply perfect ! The location is amazing with private access to the lake and a lot of privacy and very calm surrounding. The house is really well equipped while not being cluttered. Everything is well organized. Very responsive host and seamless check in !

We had a wonderful stay at Todd's place! Todd greeted us warmly and was very responsive. The pool was fantastic and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a serene spot to relax. We stayed in the pool apartment, which looked out at the pool and stunning backyard. It was well-equipped with a kitchen, pool towels, a TV, couches, and a dining table. Wendy, Todd's wife, welcomed us with cookies, and they provided milk, orange juice, eggs, yogurt, and fruits. There was also a grill available. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the pool a lot. Despite being a shared pool, there was plenty of space and time for everyone. We also used the tennis court and played some basketball at the basketball rink there. Todd and Wendy made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We highly recommend their place!

We had an amazing stay at Sally’s place in Bethel! My fiancé and I visited CT for the first time to celebrate my birthday and go to a convention nearby. This cottage was perfect for the two of us. The host was very responsive and accommodating as well! The cottage was in pristine condition, the house manual was very easy to follow, the recommendations were great, the scenery was out of a movie, and my favorite part was the hot tub in our restroom which was perfect after a long day! We had a great time and would love to come back again! Thanks for your hospitality Sally! ☺️

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

This place really is a gem. The bedroom and bathroom and spacious and have everything you need. The kitchen is small and can be challenging to work in, but the outdoor grill and dining space make up for that. We spent most of our time outside by the private pool relaxing. James and Margie were great hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and were so friendly and warm. They even brought fresh-bakes cookies. We had a great time!

Definitely would stay here again! Lovely place on a beautiful lake and nice, peaceful neighborhood. Only thing I have to say is to definitely update the pictures because the upstairs bedroom and dining room don’t look like that anymore but no biggie at all! There’s a lot of things super close to the house. Host was extremely nice and very responsive when I had to message them!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home for the holidays! The house is spacious and immaculately decorated, with thoughtful touches that made it feel warm and inviting. The layout was perfect for hosting our family gatherings, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen was fully equipped, making meal prep a breeze, and the cozy living areas were ideal for relaxing.. The quiet suburban setting offered a peaceful retreat, while still being close to everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting holiday memories. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful house and location! Our family appreciated the flower gardens and enjoyed saying hello to the horses at the farm next door. Both children and adults loved playing and hiking at Tymor Park, which is right across the street and has hiking trails and a beautiful creek. The kitchen is very well-equipped with a wide range of pots and pans and dishes. For those who like very dark rooms for sleeping, be aware that some bedrooms have inadequate curtains or blinds that aren't fully effective at keeping light out, so bring eye masks. Also for babies who need darkness, be aware there isn't a closet big enough for a pack 'n play. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we would love to stay there again.
