Sit for hours and watch the ocean roar by the fireplace or walk for miles along the beach and through the tidepools. Watch the sunset and stars from the patio and spa. Gather the family for movie night in the home theater or take a short drive into town for dining. Take the ocean with you in memories that will never be forgotten.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

Located only 4 miles to downtown Crescent City and harbor where you will find shopping, restaurants, and Ocean World.

NO FIRES ALLOWED - anyone who breaks this rule will be fined $300.
