There is some noise travel in the kitchen area as it is adjoined to our home.

The Penthouse Studio at Lake Tarawera

This spacious studio apartment is set in native bush at Lake Tarawera, at the back of a lake-front property. However, it does have great views of the lake. It has one main room which includes a kitchen area, a dining room table, a lounge and beds and there's a separate bathroom. It is accessed up a flight of stairs with a laundry for use downstairs. Wifi is available. There is an outdoor patio, with comfortable furniture, sun umbrella and magnificent views across the lake to the mountain.

Enjoy our cosy, self contained bedsit unit which is detached from the main house with its own private entrance and off street parking. Our unit is not modern in design or decor but it is clean and central with a comfy double bed, fresh linen, towels, and hot water for showering. Simple breakfast supplied and all for a reasonable rate in quiet cul de sac street, just 20 minutes walk to town centre, or 5 min bus ride to resturants and sightseeing attractions.

Our newly built cabin is perfectly located for adventurers wanting to explore the redwood forest and lakes or is a peaceful space for those looking to relax and unwind. Enjoy a soak in the outdoor cedar bathtub while overlooking Rotorua. A 5 minute pedal will have you in the forest, connecting to the forest loop. Local cafes and pubs are only a couple minutes drive down the hill with the CBD a 10 minute drive.

Closest caravan to the MTB trails and forest

Looking for somewhere to stay that doesn't cost a fortune. We have a comfortable caravan complete with fixed double bed, shower and toilet. There is a well equipped kitchen with oven, hob and fridge. It is suitable for one or two adults. It is just a few minutes walk or bike ride to the Redwood forest trails and famous Treewalk. There are several eating places close-by.
