This was a great place and time well spent with family over the weekend. We are very familiar with the area and this place is a gem for the area.

What a beautiful place nestled in the woods—a little piece of heaven! Surrounded by blooming bluebells, a variety of birds perfect for birdwatching, a peaceful creek with a tire swing, and even an outdoor projector for movie nights—this place has it all and more. Located near Shawnee Forest trails, including the stunning Garden of the Gods, it’s the ideal spot for outdoor adventures. This was our second stay, and once again, everything was perfect. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and quick to respond. Highly recommend!

Trenton's place exceeded our expectations. We always hate taking a chance on leaving our clean home to go stay in someone else's place, but this was not the case with Trenton's place. It was top notch! Thanks for a home away from home!

Absolutely one of my favorite places we’ve stayed at. The house was beautiful and had a great view. We watched all kinds of wildlife. The hostess was very responsive and communicative with the bad storms that were coming through. This was also one of the best stocked places I’ve ever been. We would love to come back when we are able to do some water activities!

Very comfortable place for us to spend time in Central Illinois and visit lots of family in surrounding towns.

We had an amazing time at Raum's Hollow for our 2 families. The kitchen was well-stocked and the lake was such a hit for our tweens and teens - they loved kayaking, there's a hill to fly kites, and it's quiet and peaceful. A great getaway close to great hikes.

First time back in Southern Illinois since graduating SIUC in 2016. This trip did not disappoint. I wanted to show my fiancée the area I went to school and never stop talking about. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking, wineries, countless other outdoorsy activities.

In town for a hunting trip with a group of friends, house was perfect for the occasion. Will be back!

This house was perfect for our group of six for a girls wknd getaway! Host was easy to communicate with & also let us check in early which was a huge plus, in addition to the complimentary coffee! We hope to return in the future. Thank you!

Such a cute stay near town with quite a few things to do. Everything was so cozy. We had a very nice time.

perfect clean place to stay great views

The place was as pictured and described. It's in a nice country location, just down the road from the lake. It provided exactly what our group needed. The hosts were quick to respond to my question. The only downside was that they didn't provide shower gel/soap, or soap for the sinks. This was noted in their check-in instructions so we were aware, just unfortunate that we had to bring our own. Other than that one small thing, everything was great.

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed. It is very peaceful! We went hiking and to the wineries and Irish Festival. The Airbnb was a perfect location for all our activities. Kathy was a great host!

Everything was perfect! Great location and peaceful. All of typical things that we needed/wanted for a comfortable stay were included with the rental. Plenty of space in and around the house for everyone to spread out and be comfortable.

Easy to write a positive review about Shelley's place. Was good size for two people, yet not too small. Kitchen was modern and easy to use, complete with any "tools" that were needed to make life comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, but with plenty of birdsong and, amazingly, even occasional deer wandering past! Off-street parking was good. Overall, we don't want to make this sound as great as it was because we hope to return (Joke). Shelly herself was very kind and so helpful and reachable. Highly recommend!

Allison’s place is beautiful with ample space! My husband and I have a hard time traveling with our five kids—there’s never enough beds/space. Allison’s place allowed them their own space and sleeping arrangements. The lake access is a dream! So peaceful with access to canoes—they were super fun! There was more than enough supplies to make our trip a success! When I visit Goreville again, I will try and get this rental again. :)
