A cozy sanctuary surrounded by cicadas, frogs, rabbits, lizards, and constant birds. Minutes from the water and less than two miles from St. Mary's College. An easy drive to the NAS base. Antiques and quirky arrangements of odd objects, combined with plants and surrounded by nature gives this home a unique sweetness. This is my home, so will not have a sterile hotel feel.
I am an artist and like objects with texture and character. You'll notice small installations scattered around the place with old books, keys, stones, occasional bones. Many of these are gathered from my extensive travels as a dancer and teacher.
The place is just off the very small main road. It is set back enough that the trees make it practically invisible. There is an occasional jet flying overhead, but it's generally quite quiet. There are good windows that cancel out most of the road sound.
I live here, and work full time at the college less than two miles away. I keep the place tidy, but it is not the kind of sterile clean of some AirBNBs I've stayed at that are strictly for guests.
The place is available to rent as a full house on weekends and a single room is available during the week. I have a couch and an air mattress along with the two queen beds. There is also big back yard where tents you are welcome to you can put tents if you have a bigger group.
