In law unit in a new construction modern mountain home; near to Northstar, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Sugarbowl ski resorts, restaurants, shops, Historic Downtown Truckee, and golf. This 1 BR / 1 bath unit features a functional kitchenette & living area with a sleeper sofa & private bedroom with a queen bed. New construction is accented with new furniture and decor (January, 2017) & luxury finishes. No deck access or back yard access is included in your guest space.

This space would be ideal for 1 to 2 couples or a small family. Kitchenette has refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker and toaster along with a full basic set of dishes, cups, wine glasses, utensils etc. Good for basic convenience, but not a gourmet kitchen. Complimentary coffee is provided with your stay. Entertainment includes high speed WiFi internet, a new 43" flatscreen with HDMI cable to connect your device of choice, blu-ray player and bluetooth enabled sound bar style speaker. You have your own thermostat to control the heater in winter. In summer, there is forced air but not air conditioning. There is no cable TV. Entertainment options include a smart Blu Ray player which allow you to login to your own streaming accounts (like Netflix) or a provided HDMI cable which allow you to connect your own device to the TV.

I live upstairs, but the in law unit is a totally individual dwelling with private entrance and keys. Completely locked-off from my home. If you need me, I am just a message away, but you won't see me if you don't ask to.

Otros aspectos destacables

My dog comes and goes through a doggy door in my part of the home into the back yard. You will see her out the windows, but will never interact with her. She will not come into your space or the parking / walkway area. You don't have access to the backyard. No smoking cigarettes or cannabis in the apartment, including vaping. Any and all smoking can be done outside your front door, no problem. Please pick up butts. Please do not block the left side garage bay or the left side of the driveway.

The in-law suite is an absolute gem that's better than a hotel suite in terms of value and charm! It will definitely be going onto my "favorites" list and I hope to stay again the next time I'm in the Tahoe area. It's quiet, cozy and super close to quaint downtown Truckee.

Last minute trip meant I was at the mercy of what was available. Found this place and was amazed it was going for less than all the other places we looked at, including hotels. It was slightly nicer than I expected and there were no hidden fees or surprises of any kind (since I had read the accurate description Steve posted on the listing). Steve lives upstairs but the only evidence of him ever being there was I saw a light on in the window, never saw him, never heard him. The place is stumbling distance from fiftyfifty brewing and close to pretty much everything else. Best value in town if a nice hotel suite is what you are looking for but without the risk of any loud people above you.

Steve's place is conveniently located near Truckee, Martis Camp, 50/50 Brewing. He has done a nice job making the place feel modern and clean.
