Atención a los huéspedes
We prefer an introductory phone call with prospective guests. We will greet the guests and show them the house and how to get around, including a map of the area. Beyond that, the guests will have the house to themselves. Normally we will not be here to socialize with the guests. If we are not here, our neighbor will introduce guests to the house and be available as a first point of contact should any issues arise. We also offer an optional bed and breakfast arrangement if we are unable to vacate the house.
Otros aspectos destacables
The house has many architectural details that take you back to the beginning of the 20th century, such as bulls-eye door trim, wainscoting, leaded glass windows and hardwood floors throughout. The butler's pantry has glass cabinets , as well as frosted glass trim. The third floor bathroom, originally intended for the household live-in help, which was common in this area in the early 1900's, features a ball and claw bathtub and a rare wooden toilet.
We have high speed wireless internet available;
The TV is operated by a remote control. In order to turn it on, you must turn on both the TV and the SetTopBox (STB).
There are two dishwashers in the house, one in the kitchen and one in the pantry. PLEASE ONLY USE THE KITCHEN WASHER.
We have a digital telephone system so you have to dial the area code on every call, including local ones (we are in area code 401).
The Kitchen Sink and the Pantry Sink both have garbage disposals. The Kitchen disposal switch is under the cabinets on the left.
The house has on-demand hot water. While this means it never runs out, it also means it takes a while to heat up, so be patient.
The front door sticks and is hard to open and close. Please use the back door.
The grill on the back porch is directly connected to the city gas… there is no tank. Please be careful.
The house is NOT child proof so please be vigilant with toddlers and little ones getting into cabinets and closets.
The alarm system will not be engaged during your stay but will beep once every time the door is opened. This is just to let you know that the door is opening, it is not an alarm.
Please limit your stay to the first, second and third floors. If you use the washer/dryer in the basement please do not touch the exercise equipment or tools in the workshop.
Please replace any commodities you consume, such as coffee, cereal, sugar, etc.
We are a non smoking house and while we love pets, we would prefer not to have them here while we are not around. Please respect the peacefulness of the neighborhood (no loud music, especially in the back yard). Some items are private. We expect those to be left alone. We recycle and are respectful of preserving the environment.
Please replenish anything you use up in the cabinets and feel free to leave items for the next guest in the fridge or cabinets.
Please no fires in the fireplace.
