We spent the Easter weekend at Brett and Penny’s beautiful home. The neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful and downhill you can find a kayak hire place for a paddle in the lake. Communication with Brett and Penny was on point, with helpful information and instructions. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and with a great hot water pressure. We also used the hot pool after long days of cycling. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a restful holiday in Taupō.

My friend had a very good experience to stay there about 2 year ago. This time, he highly recommended to go there again. We had cozy rooms and delicious breakfast. Most important, we feel warm welcomed. It is a must visit place!

The booking was accurate and not fussy in that you felt at home. Sharon was very proactive as soon as i made the booking and accomodating when i needed extra request because i had an event on. Thanks ill definitely be back!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Honor’s place — we were so lucky to find it and it answered everything that we needed. The house was immaculate and beautiful settled in a wonderful garden and less than a minute to the river and we couldn’t have had a nicer time with the perfect hosts.

we had a wonderful day. the hosts were really great, really responsive. Hosts took a great care of us. The beach near by was a great walk. The place was really clean. We have a great appreciation for the hosts as they offered us to show nearby places which was a great help for us. We learned a lot about taupo and we really recommend to others to visit the place. Klinoch ia a great place and hosts are really a great people. If we ever visit taupo again we will probably stay on the same place again. Thank you

Pour ma 3eme nuit j’ai changé de chambre : pour celle-ci toujours très agréable avec une très grande salle de bain partagée avec une autre chambre : la chambre donnait également sur le superbe jardin, toujours le petit salon avec bouilloire, micro-ondes, petit frigo, café et thé à disposition.. Peu importe la chambre que vous choisirez, elles sont toutes parfaites.. 👍

Very nice couple that allowed us to help ourselves as needed, using the kitchen space and sitting areas before themselves. Nice to have breakfast available in the morning and the hot tub was a nice perk. The view was amazing and the lake was easily accessible with a 5 minute walk.

An absolutely fantastic stay! Richard made us feel right at home and took the best care of us. He's just one of a kind human - kind, fun and thoughtful, someone you're lucky to meet on your trip to NZ. The house has a soul of the 70s, and is extremely well preserved. It's hard to find that many unique and untouched details, and something that you just have to take in and admire - it's a time capsule. We'd gladly stay here again, it's a visit we'll never forget!

Very welcoming. Host arrived with some freshly baked bread and the fire was warming the house. We recommend staying here!

I didn't stay here personally but my best friend did. She said it was amazing. Clean, tidy, great location. She said Jane went above and beyond. I spoke back n forth with Jane when booking the air bnb and she was super helpful.

Nothing will prepare you for how beautiful this luxurious suite is. If tranquility is high on your list, then this is definitely the right choice. Jane and Mark are so very kind. They made so many wonderful suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. The morning breakfast is beyond perfect. Fresh fruit, yogurt and home made bread made us feel so spoiled. It’s a wonder that Jane is not a professional baker. The bread, cookies and cakes she makes are the best we have ever had. The apartment suite is very clean and very well appointed. The bed and linen are very clean and plush. Taking a short walk leads you to the lake or view the lake from the porch outside the bedroom. The Māori rock carvings are right around the edge of the property, easily accessible by a short swim. Step out onto the deck and see the emerald lake by day and the universe of stars by night. All I can say is we will definitely be returning and planning to stay longer. 10 out of 10 super luxury accommodation.

Barb and Mike are amazing hosts and we had a lovely and comfortable stay at Tongariro Adventures. The national park is only a short drive away. The waterfront is a few steps away and there are amazing trails around the area. Barb and Mike’s place exceeded our expectations and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Also, top marks for the amazing breakfast!!

Perfect stay in impeccable accomodation, Tony was very welcoming and his house is perfect and functional with good facilities. Tony offered us an amazing breakfast and prepared scrambled eggs for us, thank you again for this welcome. I recommend Tony's accomodation.

I normally leave 5 stars because everything is fine or as expected, but I would leave this place 6 stars if I could. It’s far and away the best AirBnB I have stayed at. The place itself is very tranquil, homey and a great spot to unwind, yet also only 5 minutes into town for restaurants. Melana was such a great host from offering a welcome drink and snack, to giving local restaurant suggestions, to providing a choice of hot breakfast in the morning. I only stayed one night, but would definitely seek her place out again the next time I’m back in the area.

Absolutely lovely B&B after the Timber Trail. Many of the timber trail guides up in Ongarue seem to live in the area and are therefore happy to give a ride. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice artifacts and decor around the house, which feels like a French manor. (Also 3 friendly cats and a dog, and breakfast waiting for us downstairs in the morning.)

Martin n'a pas pu nous accueillir lui-même, mais il nous a laissé des instructions très claires et nous a fait confiance. Nous avons pu choisir notre chambre, celle - ci était spacieuse avec un accès sur une très belle terrasse. Le coffre au pied du lit et les lampes de chevet sont du plus bel effet. Enfin, le libre accès à la cuisine est vraiment appréciable. Nous recommandons ce B&B.

I stayed here with a friend before completing the Tongariro Crossing and it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone; it was comfortable and clean and our every need was met. (Even making our sandwiches ready for the crossing the next day!). The breakfast was delicious and Mary was a friendly and helpful host. Can’t wait to stay again, thank you!
