Our stay was incredible. Our goal was to relax and unplug and this home was nothing short of amazing. Max’s home is beautiful and the manager, Bruno, was communicative and super friendly! It was all that we wanted and more. We’ll definitely be back!

It was the first time my family and I visited Long Island. We met Docky and Jill and they made us feel at home from the very beginning. Starting from the simplest details of providing, coffee, tea, bug spray, baby oil for mosquitoes to the more complex like taking time out to direct us everywhere on the entire island. The home is equipped with all of the basics even some cooking seasonings. The yard is big and has a beautiful huge tamarind trees. a nice gazebo, grill and the house hilltop view was spectacular. We had true privacy and the neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves. We never saw them..You definitely will need a car to get around especially to restaurants and grocery shopping. It’s located to the very northern tip of the island. The busiest settlement is 45 minutes to the south. We will be back again and will be delighted to book with Bonafide fishing house again. We didn’t do any fishing with Docky because of the rain. We came as visitors and left feeling like locals.

I can’t recommend this house enough! It was comfortable, a great location, awesome hosts, and a wonderful island. From the moment we booked to the time we left, the hosts were communicative helpful and friendly. We rented their van and were met the airport straight away, super easy. The house is very comfortable, and we really enjoyed spending time on the back deck watching the waves. Wally and Alex are such great people and we had an awesome time. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Grotto Bay Beach house and it was still great. The location is stunning, with an excellent cove and snorkeling just down from the house. Recommend a rental car to drive to town and around the island, though roads around the house are quite rough. Karen is kind and gives local recommendations and information and Nicola, the local housekeeper, met us at the house to let us in and show us around. She is an excellent source of information and so friendly. The house is beachy and casual, with linens and basic kitchen and bath supplies, as well as some snorkeling equipment. Great wifi, but local phone service did not work (though a local Bahamas SIM card worked great on cell phones) and did not try to use the TV. The AC worked off and on, though the weather meant we didn't need it, though we did keep the door and windows closed to keep out the no-see-ums (tiny biting flies) at night. A great value and highly recommend for the excellent location!

The White House was the perfect getaway for my family of 5. Located in Stella Maris, you have access to the beaches and the pool on site. Emma was friendly and responsive from the day of booking all the way to the departure day, making sure we were comfortable and were aware of the local attractions. Check in was easy and the house itself is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen and air conditioning throughout the house. The views from the second floor were also great. The kids room downstairs was an added bonus to have the kids play, watch TV and just relax. We really enjoyed our stay at the White House and definitely recommend this home when visiting Long Island.

The views from this house are simply breath taking in every direction and from almost from every room in the house. just when we thought the ocean views of the island could not get any better, we ventured up to the very top deck level and WOW WOW WOW! Beyond the views, this house is beautifully pearched on a hill, is solidly constructed and offers an inviting, well appointed, furnished and relaxing atmosphere. My family and I enjoyed it immenesly and would 100% stay here again. The host/hostess were very easy to coordinate with and were readily available to help or provide valuable information when needed. My family stayed at Tangerine Sunsets Santa Maria for a glorious week and couldn'thave been happier! The home was immaculate and had most everything we could want in a rental. The beach is one of the best in the Bahamas and we enjoyed walking on it many sunrises and sunsets, as well as swimming out front and snorkeling the small coral head on the south end of the beach. There is also a great gazebo with three chaise loungers that was heaven to relax under with a Pina colada! The house was super clean and well stocked. One thing that wasn't there was a baking sheet. When I inquired with the caretaker, Jimmy, he went out and bought one for the house so I could bake some cookies. Jimmy was very helpful and found us some local eggs, guava jam, and pineapples, as well as bread his wife baked for us to purchase. Jimmy was great! Renters should be aware that house is remote and at almost the end of a long, potholed dirt road. There isn't a lot nearby (except for Cape Santa Maria Resort) in terms of restaurants and the closest grocery store is at least a 20 minute drive. We liked the privacy and spent lots of time at home, so this wasn't a problem for us. There are two other rental units on the property, but they weren't occupied during our stay, so we had the whole place to ourselves which was fabulous. I highly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if and when we return to Long Island!
