Kay's place was perfect for a couple of night's getaway. She was a very quick communicator and everything was as expected. She kindly left us freshly baked bread, as well as honey and apples from her property. The beds were very comfy and the whole place was well stocked and much more spacious than we expected. Kay's husband James sorted the pizza over for us and we cooked homemade pizzas. The property is private and secluded but just up a driveway from the road. Would highly recommend both the hosts and the property. Would happily stay again or suggest it to friends and family.

One of the Best Airbnb Experiences Ever! Our stay in Russell was absolutely unforgettable — this is hands down one of the best Airbnb's we have ever stayed at. The property itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained spaces and super comfortable beds and living areas. But what really sets this place apart are the incredible outdoor features. The backyard opens directly onto the beach, creating the most amazing setting. With kayaks and a dinghy available to use, plus a trampoline, swings, volleyball net, and even a slackline, there's something for everyone — you could easily spend your entire stay without ever leaving the property! And after a day of exploring the water, soaking in the outdoor spa while watching the sunset is pure magic. Honestly, the photos in the listing don’t even come close to showing how special this place is. It exceeded every expectation, and we would rebook it in a heartbeat. Already hoping we can come back soon!

Such a stunning and relaxing Airbnb. It was nice and tucked away in nature, and felt very calming and serene. Lovely and spacious and beautiful decor.

The house was immaculate and beautifully presented in a tranquil bush setting. Sophie even made sure the Easter Bunny was able to get access which made for some fun egg hunting on our arrival. 🐣

I would like to start off by saying how peaceful and beautiful and majestic this land is. The farmhouse is an amazing place to stay if you want some peace and quiet if you want to be able to see the Milky Way at night or wake up to cows and sheep in the morning. It was a last-minute Airbnb find for myself and my friend and Marissa was fabulous! She came over and made sure the house was good for us and when we got there, she also left us four fresh eggs, some freshly made hot cross buns, and some milk for the coffee. I felt like home!! The kitchen is unbelievable. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t wanna wake up. The sunrises over the mountains and the mist on the fields was beautiful. We got the most beautiful pictures of the sunrise and also some amazing pictures of the stars at night. I would recommend anybody in that area. The farmhouse is the place to go! Marissa and her husband showed us this beautiful scenic route to drive which we did and it was fabulous! The Farmhouse rocks

We had a lovely stay – the house was perfect for our group, with plenty of space and a great layout. It’s well-equipped, beautifully located, and the views are stunning. Despite the wild weather, it was a relaxing place to unwind. We were lucky with sunshine on our last day and made the most of the lawn, trampoline, and pool. The house isn’t a show home and could use a refresh in places, but it’s comfortable, homely, and ideal for groups. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would absolutely stay again – I bet it's even better in sunny weather!

We loved every minute of our stay at Nuku Cabin. Diane was so welcoming and made us feel totally at home. I loved all of the thoughtful detail she has gone to make our dog feel at home also, with supplying a doggy bowl, blanket and bed. The house was absolutely pristine and had everything we could possibly want. My family will definitely be back again.

We can’t wait to come back here. We were four couples, two young children. The house and facilities gave everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together. It’s a great space with plenty to do.

Spacious accommodation with a private terrace and facing the orange trees. We received a warm welcome and a great handbook with recommendations is provided. There are friendly dogs and three cute pigs that you can feed and that sit on command. It got a bit chilly at night, but there are enough blankets and the bed was very comfortable.

The cottage has a gorgeous view - such a treat to wake up to it every morning. Really spacious and ideal for a couple. Short drive away from some amazing beaches. Thank you, Kathy!

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

The stay in the beautiful apartment, situated in a unique orange orchyard, was lovely. It is a clean, well equipped, modern apartment and it is very quiet with a lot of privacy. Its is quite close to the town centre and there are a lot of beautiful walkways, waterfalls and historic sites in the surroundings. Claes and Inga are very hospitable people, giving us some fresh fruits as we arrived. We loved our stay and we can highly recommend the apartment.

I booked this accommodation for my colleagues, and they loved it. It was the perfect place for what they needed while working away from home. A lovely and cozy spot with beautiful, peaceful surroundings and gorgeous animals. The communication with the hosts was excellent, and they were flexible with our needs. I would definitely book again in the future.

What a lovely location and beautiful home. We were very pleased with the accommodation and the fact that we were able to take our dogs along was amazing. We had a family emergency just before we were due to stay and Henry was very understanding and flexible.

Steve was a fantastic host—very responsive, helpful, and flexible with check-in and move-out times. The location was stunning! We had a private beach to ourselves all week, gorgeous views, and easy access to the longest footbridge in the Southern Hemisphere. The property also included two kayaks, which we used to explore the nearby rocks with incredible views and crystal-clear water. Our only hiccup was the lack of linens, but this was clearly stated in the Airbnb listing—we just missed it. I recommend reading the listing carefully, as towels and sheets are only provided for an additional charge. Also, nearly the entire house is carpeted, so be mindful with drinks. Overall, a great stay!

Loved our stay at Gayle’s place - the view is stunning and the space is beautiful and private. We didn’t want to leave! Would definitely come here again and stay longer if we could.

This place was incredible. It is built into a hillside and nestled amongst the trees. We had a fantastic time swimming, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing. I would definitely come back!

Loved our stay here, we felt right at home and the hosts went above and beyond to cater to our needs! It was a peaceful and private area with the best views and the best cherry tomatoes! The Cottage was cozy yet roomy and very well equipped with everything you need and well kept. The garden outside is gorgeous and the best place for a cup of tea in the morning looking over the lake. Amazing place for our family stay. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxed stay. Close to beach and walkable to shops, the entire stay was perfect. Comfy furniture inside and out and big grounds for cars and kids.

Dank der guten Wegbeschreibung mussten wir nicht lange suchen, das Haus liegt wirklich etwas versteckt und selbst das Navi kannte nicht den richtigen Weg :) Es ist alles wie beschrieben, eine unglaublich schöne Lage, wir haben den direkten Strandzugang und den tollen Ausblick täglich beim Kochen und Essen genossen. Es ist alles sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet aber völlig ausreichend, alles Notwendige ist da und funktioniert. Auch die Mappe mit Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber auch Notfallnummern und Evakuierungswegen bei Tsunami fanden wir vorbildlich. Das Fehlen des WLAN haben wir unterschätzt, es hätte uns den Alltag und die Kommunikation in die Heimat sehr erleichtert. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt - jederzeit wieder.
