we had a wonderful few days in Old Fort. The house was private with a lovely view but within easy driving distance to Old Fort, Black Mountain, and Marion. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved Richard’s home and hope to stay here again in the future. Richard is very accommodating and thoughtful. As a Librarian, I really appreciated his hand written note and attention to detail. The house is so beautiful, charming, and artistically designed. Also, the historical aspect of such a home is just heart warming. It was perfect for our creative retreat! We had everything we needed including space to spread out and let the creativity flow without interruptions. The view and outside space is lovely and well cared for. Nights by the fire pit and the readily available firewood made it that much more enjoyable. While the house was comfortably and serenely secluded for true relaxation, downtown Tryon is conveniently close enough to explore and enjoy. Overall, we absolutely loved everything about staying here! We hope to stay here again soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful mountain house in Rutherfordton! The views were stunning, the rooms were cozy and well-designed, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax after a long day. The hosts were incredibly responsive and kind, making everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Perfect Mountain Escape! The Foxie Moxie was exactly what we needed for a relaxing trip to the mountains. It was perfect for our family of three and our Aussiedoodle. My husband and son had a blast with the basketball hoop, while I enjoyed some peaceful time in the hot tub and hammock. We were aware of potential road issues due to Helene, and while the road to and from Black Mountain is definitely not for the faint of heart, it was passable—just be aware there are a couple of one-lane sections. The neighbors were wonderful and even tipped us off to a hidden gem: a 10-foot waterfall about a mile up the creek from the property. It was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a secluded mountain stream retreat with all the right touches of relaxation and adventure!

I cannot say enough positive things about this place! Beautiful setting, beautiful house, and oodles of amenities. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. Amazing value and fantastic host! Do not hesitate to book this place!!

We had a great stay here! The amenities were wonderful! Our kids loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lots to do in this area! Jamie was super sweet and very responsive and helpful! She also makes great recommendations! We would definitely stay again!

We had a nice stay at Mary's house. Erin was a great contact and very helpful. Loved the little extra snacks they had. Very welcoming for the guests. Comfortable space close to town and they were always very responsive.

My family and I needed a weekend getaway and this property was local and great if you want to disconnect. The scenery is amazing. The view from the master bedroom is breathtaking. You literally do not have to leave the resort unless you absolutely have to. They have restaurants. There’s an area where you could play pickle ball putt putt, tennis desert 18 hole golf course heated swimming pool sauna. The price was also a steal. The only thing we couldn’t do was go fishing because the lake will be closed for 2025 due to the cleanup of the past hurricane I absolutely recommend this property.

I stayed at Craig's place while showing at TIEC and will absolutely be staying in the future. Air mattress was super comfy, towels were soft, and water was warm, who can ask for more? Craig was kind and responsive, a true gem of a host. Thank you!!

Very beautiful spot. Inside and out. Very quiet, nice surroundings. Quite a bit of spaces. All of the amenities listed. Kyle was very communicative. Will stay again.

Beautiful piece of heaven. Even though it rained the majority of our visit we were still able to enjoy the serenity of the area thanks to the covered porches. This home is so peaceful and quaint. Exactly what I wished for, and we look forward to staying here again. Highly recommend folks stay at this beautiful cabin with the lovely view.

Views are out of this world! Pictures don't do it justice. The cabin had everything you need, down to flashlights, lighters, precut firewood, etc. My favorite part was the view and the swings on the back deck. The gravel drive was a hike to get to the cabin, but VERY well maintained and the views were well worth the drive. We highly recommend Jaclyn's place to anyone wanting a secluded get away in the mountains.

My husband and I had a relaxing stay at Tracey’s cabin while attending an event at TIEC. We felt right at home the minute we arrived. Everything was perfect! We even had 3 deer visit right outside the window. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

Tena’s house was exactly as described. It was very clean and well stocked with essentials. We stayed there while attending a wedding nearby and it proved to be the perfect location. 3 bedrooms and 2 nice size bathrooms. Communication was smooth and no issues checking in or checking out. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway I would highly recommend. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

Simply put it was awesome. Small things add up. S’mores the record player good pans. The entire family enjoyed this place. The lake in the back private and nice walking trail is great. Too much to list of how great it is. Hot tub was great. Each level of the house has a bath room. The scents throughout the house was a good touch. The community is really nice was able to canoe and fish. The food she recommended was awesome good touch of home at countryside BBQ. If you are looking to relax and distress this is it. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Memories for a lifetime.

This was a perfect stay for us! We were visiting the area for a wedding, and the location couldn't have been better. the wedding venue was only 4 minutes away at Serenity Ridge. The cabin was more than comfortable for the 4 of us. Flor was a great host and super responsive to all our needs and questions. We would choose to stay here again when visiting Mills River!
