A gorgeous walk is to get ferry to Taronga Zoo (but don't go inside zoo) and instead walk right and around to Balmoral Beach. Takes about 2 hours and there are cafes along the way and its gorgeous!

Consejos para la ciudad

Cómo moverse

Sunday - public transport cost = $2.80 for unlimited travel

I suggest getting ferries on Sunday's with such cheap travel. Places to visit include walk or bus to Rose Bay, then ferry to Watsons Bay, then ferry to Circular Quay (Opera House etc) and maybe the Taronga Zoo or from Taronga Ferry getting off and walking around to Balmoral Beach which is a real treat too!

The walk from Bondi down the coast is spectacular

You can walk from Bondi Beach all the way down the coast as far as you wish 1-5 hours. All the buses down the coastal walk bring you back into the city and there are cafes all the way for food/drinks. It's a beautiful walk!
Qué empacar

Public Transport

Buy an Opal Card either from airport train station or around the city in order to travel on public transport. Also it can be easier to get a local SIM card at the airport on arrival if you are arriving from international. This saves time finding a place around town.

Opera House

A show at the Opera House is a real treat. I recommend it if there is something that looks good on the program whilst youre in town!

Double Bay markets on Thursday's

Double Bay has a lovely farmers markets in the park on Bay St every Thursday which is well worth visiting. Also the bistro next to the Double Bay ferry wharf has $15 schnitzel or steaks on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Little Jeans in Double Bay has nice meals for breakfast. Art Bianca on Bay Street has some of the best italian you'll ever eat! There are plenty of cheap but good eats along New South Head Road 1888 butcher in Double Bay is a sensational organic local butcher (under Woolworths). The local Double Bay library is also really good if you need internet or what to have a look.
