Cooks Beach is a beautiful sandy beach in a rock-walled cove just north of Gualala. The waves roll into the cove and crash on the smooth sandy beach sometimes pushing driftwood on shore. The beach is accessed via the Bonham Trail which was set up in the early 2000’s through an easement. There is a viewing platform above the beach and a safe graded trail from the street shoulder parking along County Road 526. Unfortunately there is only room for a few cars.

Toilets are provided at parking. A 1/4 mile long access trail cuts across the open meadow and ends at the edge of a cliff where a huge staircase with safe passage to the beach.
