A Challenging hike with fantastic views is Deer Ridge Trail from Slab Camp trailhead, taking you all the way to Blue Mountain/Deer Park. In winter, you'll need to be prepared for snow, included the road up in winter. Take Taylor Cutoff Road when coming from the north and Luella Road when coming from south.
