There are fantastic walks through the Victorian River Gardens, over Lovers Leap, climb up Jacobs ladder (270 Victorian stone steps), or scale High Tor, or the heights of Abraham . Then you have the Matlock Lights through September and October and the raft race on Boxing day, both famous yearly events with many visitors. A truly beautiful place to live and visit
