Fish & Chip shop on the beach. Fryer Tucks is open from Easter - October half term.
It is mostly a sheltered bay, with a large sandy beach. Ideal for launching kayaks or paddle boards.
It can be a busy beach with visitors from the static caravan site at Challaborough. There is a lifeguard service.

There is a ferry which crosses the River Avon from Cockleridge to Bantham.
It operates each 10:00am – 12:00pm and 2:00pm – 4:00pm

You can visit the Sloop Inn, The Bantham village cafe, the beach, or do the circular Avon Estuary Walk up to Aveton Gifford and return the other side of the river.
