Delicious fresh Seafood Tapas. Very popular, so booking might be an idea especially at busier times. The inventive, yummy and ever changing specials means we dine out here regularly.

This is my favourite, something special at reasonable prices, great food and atmosphere. Lovely selection of cocktails, an ideal place to watch the sun set whilst enjoying a drink with that special someone.

Only a very short walk from the apartment and although we aren’t part of this hotel they very kindly let us use their facilities, and this includes breakfast, it’s very nice and a reasonable price. All you need to do is book the day before and say you are staying at Porth Sands, if they have room they will squeeze you in.

Thirty years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of WW1. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of this once great estate. Today, The Lost Gardens have been put back where they belong: in pride of place among the finest gardens in England.

Following a disused railway line once used by the London and South West Railway, the trail follows the Camel Estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge before joining the route through the deep and beautifully wooded Camel Valley to Bodmin. At Bodmin, yet another line, one of the most historic in the country, winds its way inland to the edge of Bodmin Moor where it comes to an end below Blisland, an extraordinarily pretty moorland village with an award winning pub.

Fistral Beach Newquay has become cemented as the home of British surfing with the consistency and quality of the surf that it enjoys. Surfer’s and spectators alike enjoy the location from beautifully calm days to the adrenaline filled days where Cornwall’s big wave the Cribbar is being surfed by the hardiest of surfers.

A grand Elizabethan house on a small scale. Enjoying a small but varied garden featuring an Elizabethan knot garden, cottage borders and Cornish kayling lawn. Plus the usual National Trust cafe and gift shop. A very pleasant way to while away an afternoon.
