Grocery shopping before you arrive
We stop at Bònus to shop for food it is on the way to the cottage just 15 to 20 min before you arrive at the cottage..there is a shop called Vinbùðin there also for wine spirits and beer but the price in the duty-free is much better. Bónus closes at 8 in the evening so if you arrive later you have to go to Hagkaup garðatorgi or stop at Nettò in Mjòdd they have open all night long but are more expensive .Dont buy water in Iceland it is the same in the tabs and it is so clean and fresh just fill a bottle in the cottage to take with you

We love ❤ this drive and all the places you can stop on the way to just have a peaceful romantic moments .... those places are before you get to the mountain ..
