We LOVE this restaurant, just such a fun experience. The food is usually all vegetarian and very creative with fantastic tastes. Reservations are released at the beginning of the month for the following month and they are usually all gone in a few hours. The FAQ indicates the precise dates and times when reservations are released.

This is the setting for the TV series and you can visit the church and maybe recognize a few other sites. It is also a very pleasant little village just outside of Cambridge that you can enjoy without knowing (or caring) about the TV series. It is an hour’s walk from the house and passes through lovely fields by the river Cam for half of this walk. There is The Red Lion in the centre of the village that is worth stopping at though it tends to get very busy on weekends. There are other choices of pubs and restaurants as well, including the Orchard Tea Garden. If the idea of a two hour return walk is too much for you, you can drive to Newnham and park just where the walk through the fields starts. This will cut your walk time in half and will allow you to concentrate your energy on the most enjoyable part of the walk.

Anglesey Abbey is roughly 20 minutes by car from the house. It is run by the National Trust.
