Our Lady of the Rocks is an island artificially created in the 15th century around a rock where an image of the Madonna was found. The church is beautiful, with sumptuous paintings, hundreds of silver votives tablets and a curious little museum including a Madonna and Child picture, embroidered with the hair of a heart broken woman spent 25 years making it whilst waiting for a lover to come home.
