Food Scene

Iconic boulder export, Longs Peak Pub and Taphouse has an extensive and ever changing microbrew menu. Boasting large tables with bench seating, you get the communal experience, sharing tables with neighbors spurs great conversation! The nachos are huge! It can be a bit too crowded & loud on Fridays and Saturday’s, so we tend to go Sunday-Thursday. Heads up, they take cash only!

Hidden gem! Unpretentious atmosphere, with trendy European influence gastropub fare (you’ll find no burgers here!) Stellar service and fab place for nice bottle of wine or a cocktail in Longmont. You’ll need a reservation Friday, Saturday nights.

Our favorite street tacos place! Funky space, great eye candy all around, with built in bike shop to boot, great margaritas and amazing food! The bacon wrapped goat cheese poblanos are my favorite. Best happy hour in town!

Love love! Lucile’s food. Cajun/Creole breakfast and brunch in a sweet old town home. Trout, grits, hickory coffee and beignets... what more could you ask for! Besides possibly better ventilation (you’ve been forewarned it can feel a bit stuffy so dress in layers and prepare to strip them)I have to add that recently the service has been lacking and I really hope they get it sorted!

5 minutes walk from the guesthouse! Luna is in a charming old town house, with well shaded outdoor spaces, and a book room.. A bit shabby (chic?) with great coffee, pastries (including some gluten free options) and breakfast sandwiches. A neighborhood hub, and social gathering place, so often the baristas are chatty. If you’re needing super fast service, Starbucks might be more up your alley.

Trendy “New American” pub fare. I like their ethos, the intention around where the food comes from, locally sourced, healthy meats (red bird chicken). I love the location, and the building and they have the best rooftop in town! Amazing views from the rooftop. The food is interesting enough but the quality of service is not consistently good.

Best pizza in town. Gluten and dairy galore here! The sausage knots are swimming in garlic butter. In other words, deliciousness! A Longmont icon, always busy and no take out when they are crowded. My favorite and 90% year round outdoor seating of any restaurant in the area! Truly magical.

Had to include Modern Market, considering that Colorado is the birthplace of many of the most well known and successful fast casual restaurants in the nation. $2 glasses of wine, lots of gluten and dairy free options, really yummy, interesting food with an emphasis on locally sourced.

As a Boulder transplant I’m excited to support Longmont’s burgeoning food scene, but the rayback is sufficiently quirky and unique to deserve mention. It’s a collection of food trucks, bar and outdoor spaces, along with and indoor bar and event stage. Great live music and cornball games round out the experience.

The best Vietnamese in Longmont is in Boulder.. seriously I wish there were one here I could recommend but there just isn’t! Chez Thuey is AlWAYS worth the drive... except possibly in blizzard conditions ;) Be prepared to have a hard time choosing though! The menu is really more of a book, but so far I haven’t made a poor choice yet. Expect a wait on weekend evenings. Really big portions!

Cute candy and ice cream shop, old town classic store with tall ceilings and exposed brick. Locally made ice cream, but unfortunately very few dairy fee options and some of the flavors have artificial colors. Still a fun part walking old town in the summer.
