Food Scene

A fantastic Steak restaurant located in one of Paisley’s oldest buildings. The steak, steak pie and fish & chips are all personal favourites. The lunch (seven days) and pre theatre (monday to friday) deals are great value but A La Carte can be quite pricey. Friday and Saturday evenings will need a booking.

The best Asian food in town and the best Thai food I’ve had in Scotland. They do great lunch and pre theatre deals and are rarely too busy to need a booking. Our favourite dish is Kao Pad but you can never go wrong with a Green Thai Curry!

Arts & Culture

The museum is currently in the process of being renovated so might not be a great attraction for now, but the planetarium in the observatory is a lot of fun to visit. The observatory is now rarely used due to ambient light in Paisley, but its an interesting tour.

Parks & Nature

The Braes” includes miles of area to go for a lovely walk and even catch a waterfall. Robertson Car Park (or Car Park in the Sky) is the highlight with panoramic views spanning from Ben Lomond, across Paisley, all the way over to a large proportion of Glasgow. Hours can pass watching the sun drift away, and planes departing Glasgow airport. If you have time during the day and a car to get there, I recommend a visit.

Getting Around

One of Scotland's busiest train stations, you can get direct trains to Glasgow, Ayr, Troon and Gourock with occasional trains to Edinburgh too (although I'd advise changing at Glasgow as this will likely be quicker).
