BEST PLACES FOR BREAKFAST

http://greeneggscafe.com/ Green Eggs Café is a brunch-style restaurant that takes pride in serving the highest quality fare, while maintaining an eco-conscious philosophy. We value people, and sustaining life on this planet. We’re unlike conventional restaurants because we have a commitment to doing our part for the environment. We’re dedicated to serving high quality food at a low cost to our patrons. We participate in buying fresh products locally, which support merchants in the area — and in turn, so do you. Every Green Eggs Cafe location recycles aluminum, glass, plastics, and all paper products. The food and organic waste is composted, and also not put to waste. We prohibit the use of all styrofoam products and plastic bottled beverages. All take-out containers are biodegradable and are made from corn, plant materials, and sugar (which look like plastic, but we assure you are not). By dining at this establishment, you are contributing to a minimal waste environment. Although you will not find any green eggs and ham on our menu, you will find a serving of eco- friendly fare every time you dine with us.

Neighborhoods

https://www.visitphilly.com/areas/philadelphia-neighborhoods/center-city/ Encompassing the city’s busiest and most densely packed cultural, historical and entertaining neighborhoods, Center City — bracketed east/west from the Delaware River to the Schuylkill River, and north/south from Spring Garden Street to South Street — features Philly’s premier downtown area as well as an ever-expanding skyline. It’s also home to the city’s most historic neighborhoods — including Old City and Society Hill — as well as many tourist attractions, on Independence Mall and elsewhere. As a primary destination for travelers, Center City boasts a majority of the biggest and toniest hotels in the region, and more restaurants, bars and cafes than any other part of the city. Sparkling nightlife and dining options under the Center City umbrella include Chinatown, Rittenhouse Square and Old City. At its nexis point, where Broad Street crosses Market Street, resides Philly’s historic and beautiful City Hall, with its 37-foot-tall statue of William Penn presiding 548 feet over the city proper. Penn was the tallest point in the city up until the building of One Liberty Place in 1986.

Next to Independence Mall, where the country’s Founding Fathers declared liberty, Old City still boasts charming cobblestone streets and plenty of 18th-century charm — along with an independent streak evident in everything from its owner-operated shops to its edgy art scene. Its proximity to the Liberty Bell, Penn’s Landing and Benjamin Franklin Bridge makes Old City a favorite for out-of-towners and its residents who call it home. People love the neighborhood for its fashionable boutiques, great restaurants, eclectic galleries and theaters, and vibrant nightlife. Especially popular on first Fridays of each month, art lovers fill the streets for year-round art walks and hop from gallery to gallery.
