These are the closest waterfalls to the cabin.
An entrance fee is required. There is a short about half a mile but steep yet paved trail leading to the falls.
There is a gift shop on premises.
Pack a basket with lunch and enjoy it at one of the picnic tables located right by the streaming river that started at the falls and rushed down
Anna Ruby Falls, Georgia 30571, EE. UU.
The whole trail is about 3 miles long, but you can reach the gorgeous view of the falls within a quarter mile from the parking lot.
If you choose to take the stairs down to the hanging bridge, remember that you need to take the same amount of stairs back up.
Seeing how this beautiful spot created by nature got ruined by plastic bottles, I highly recommend brining your reusable bottle with you and filling it up with water. Trust me, you will need it.

Parque Estatal Tallulah Gorge

If you choose to take the stairs down to the hanging bridge, remember that you need to take the same amount of stairs back up.

There are many trails starting in Unicoi.

Another one leads from Unicoi to Helen in the forest along the creek and with a very slight elevation gain in one or two points. Its 3 miles each way and my favorite way to go to Helen, grab a lunch and ice cream and return guilt free back after burning all the calories.
For those not faint of heart, there is a 10 mile trail leading to Anna Ruby Falls. Its very remote and wildlife is frequent.
Please note that you need to pay for parking while staying in the park.
Also there are multiple activities for such as archery, high ropes and zip lining.
