Mansion House is the home of The Lord Mayor of The City of London (Not as distinct as the Mayor of London) providing not only a living space for The Lord Mayor and his household, but also room for large ceremonial entertainment's and banquets.
The building like many others was built after the Great Fire of London, with the Mayor taking residence since 1752.
Unfortunately you can not walk in off the street and take a look around.
