Josè Pizarro worked in the award – winning Meson de Doña Filo in Madrid before coming to London José Tapas Bar was my first solo venture: a tapas and sherry bar on Bermondsey Street in London. It’s small and cosy, inspired by the bustling tapas bars around La Boquería market in Barcelona and the traditional tapas bars in the hot, dusty towns and villages of Andalucía. The daily menu depends on what looks good at the market on the day. You’ll see a mix of new dishes as well as old favourites. We maintain a diverse wine and sherry list from both established and small producers of Spain. You will find wines and sherries here that you won’t see anywhere else. Come on down and have a pincho!

Bermondsey Street has been described the foodie mecca offering exceptional good restaurants and coffee houses making it a perfect location for The Watch House. The Watch House was built in the early 19th century and housed guards who protected the churchyard graves. Although it has received a total makeover we have decided to keep the initial name in order to preserve the local history. Luxury artisan coffee house in Bermondsey Street. For us it’s all about freshness, quality and exceptional taste, using organic and locally sourced ingredients.

It was originally founded in 1982 as a custom-built studio theatre, and the opening production was a new adaptation of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Eating in Italy is an experience. It’s a social event not to be rushed; restaurant owners sit, chat, eat and drink with their customers, while families and friends laugh and talk over lovingly prepared dishes. At Emilia’s our pasta recipes are created and cooked in front of you, combining the warmth and welcome of an Italian kitchen with the theatre and passion behind our pasta. Fresh and seasonal ingredients complement the different shapes of pasta that are kneaded, rolled and crafted with the same spirit Simone’s grandmother had sixty years ago.

Hay's Galleria is named after its original owner, the merchant Alexander Hay, who acquired the property – then a brewhouse – in 1651.[1] In around 1840 John Humphrey Jnr acquired a lease on the property.[1] He asked William Cubitt (who was father-in-law to two of Humphrey's sons) to convert it into a 'wharf', in fact an enclosed dock, in 1856 and it was renamed Hay's Wharf.[1] During the nineteenth century, the wharf was one of the chief delivery points for ships bringing tea to the Pool of London.[1] At its height, 80% of the dry produce imported to London passed through the wharf, and on this account the Wharf was nicknamed 'the Larder of London'.

The Jewel Tower dates back almost 650 years and is an intriguing visitor attraction in the heart of Westminster. It was built around 1365 to house Edward III’s treasures and was known as the ‘King’s Privy Wardrobe’. One of only two buildings from the medieval Palace of Westminster to survive the fire of 1834, the tower features a 14th century ribbed vault.
Trafalgar Square (/trəˈfælɡər/ trə-FAL-gər) is a public square in the City of Westminster, Central London, built around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. Its name commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar, a British naval victory in the Napoleonic Wars with France and Spain that took place on 21 October 1805 off the coast of Cape Trafalgar, Spain. The site of Trafalgar Square had been a significant landmark since the 13th century and originally contained the King's Mews. After George IV moved the mews to Buckingham Palace, the area was redeveloped by John Nash, but progress was slow after his death, and the square did not open until 1844.
