Folly is still pretty bohemian. Center Street has shops, bars, churches, bars, churches, shops, bars....and there's the ocean. Traffic going out is pretty heavy in the summer and you can sit on the causeway for an hour if you go late in the day, so it's a good early or all-day trip.

This would be a historic as well as shopping experience. You could also walk around downtown.
