There are lots of wonderful shops and restaurants in the village and a wonderful beach with Soquel Creek that forms a small Lake near the ocean on the beach. There is also a wharf you can walk on and it is the final destination of the famous "Wharf to Wharf" race held in July. It is named Capitola because the founders back in the 1800s were hoping to make it the Capitol of California. Go figure!
