Neighborhoods

Our neighborhood is called Gradisce, it's somewhere from Kongresni trg to the Roman wall behind Askerceva school. Here a little list of restaurats in the neighborhood that I know and can recommend. Most of all - don't eat at the river or Stari trg - it/s overpriced and much crowd. Except maybe Fetish (below) 1. Petit cafe – nice French style cafe next to Krizanke, offers also pasta and salad (food is not really cheap!), tasty sandwiches and Continental breakfasts. Opened daily 2. On thai Gregorciceva vis a vis from Foculus pizzeria all meals around 7€ , fresh cooked by Thai cooks, order it there and eat at home, high chairs aren’t really cozy. Opened Mo-Sat, 3. Žmauc – alternative youth pub, opened daily till 12 p.m. sendwiches, toast, good music 4. Čevabdžinica Sarajevo '84 Nazorjeva 14 - classical Bosnia meat in Cevapcici form (no pork) and other Balkan specialities, Slovenia was a part of Yougoslavia so balkan food as burek too are well appreciated. 5. Pizzeria Foculus – probably best one in city centre, opened also Sundays 11a.m. – 12 p.m. 6. Ljubljana “Riviera”- promenade of Ljubljana, next to the river -Fetish has good pizza, ice cream and next to it kind of Ramen soup 7. Trnovo quater about 500 m away, - Eipprova ulica Trnovski zvon, Sax pub etc. Small street of nice bars, pizzeria and pastry shops, not so touristy and very pleasant. 21. Market stands – cheap and fresh food on stands at the market – fried fish, simple food like roasted chicken, Mo-Sa 2 or 3 p.m. Maxi market Trg republike (300m away)– big departure store with good grocery shop in the basement – specialties from abroad, fresh fruit and vegetables, good bread and a variety of pre-cooked meals to take away. Mo-Sa 9a.m.- 9 p.m.,
