Be sure to look up no matter where you are sitting. This is such a beautiful building (especially the large hall off to the left which has lots of wooden pillars that have been carved by hand). The large hall or the 2nd floor looking over Rudaki Ave are my 2 favorite places to sit. The lemon tea is always good, the Osh is delicious and so is the Lagman. Also, kulcha and shakarob salad are musts! If you want a classic place to get local food, this is it!
Rohat Teahouse

Kurutob is a distinctly Tajik dish, and Dushanbe is the place to eat it! Kurutob Honai Olim is the BEST place to go for a delicious but cheap meal- and a cultural experience! This specific place didn't show up on the map, but the pin is close and if you ask people, everyone knows where it is! If you go by taxi and ask for Kurutob Honai Olim, he will be able to get you there ;)

The museum walks you through centuries of history from the Persians to Alexander the Great to the Arabs to Communism to modern day progress. It's definitely an interesting walk through history and gives great insight to this area of the world.
