Sightseeing

Not my personal favorite but for most Ibirapuera Park is a must when visiting São Paulo. It’s the city’s major park with options to exercise or chill, or even find some street food to eat.

Have your own Bilhete Único

If you’re planning to use public transportation to get around São Paulo, you should consider buying a Bilhete Único, a magnetic card that allows you to use both buses and rail (subway or train). It’s the best way to save some money as there are discounts for timed rides or free interconnections between modals. You can find them on newsstands or subway stations. In order to charge it you can use both cash or cards (debit or credit). Usually the card itself is free, but you’ll be asked to pay for a first charge (I’d advice for a R$ 20/ 30 for a 4-5 days stay).
