Food scene

This place is the first place we went to when we first came to the Heights. It's a 1950s trendy diner with fresh options for breakfast and lunch. Really cool way to grab the vibe of the old Heights

Funky and laid back. The Heights is known as "Mini-Austin" and the "creek" restaurants really embraces that moniker. You don't feel like you are in a concrete jungle, you feel like you are in the heart of the hill country. Great drinks and bites!

Got kids? Grab a bite at the trendy and fun Preslee's restaurant. You will be transported back to the 1950's where the king of rock and roll was the name of note! I like this place because it has everything for kids! Great patio that has a full playground and fun games and hammock chairs. We have some small kids and they absolutely love the chicken tenders and mini corndogs. ... oh and they love the full ice cream bar. I believe a lot of parents get rewarded with the full service alcohol bar :)

Sightseeing

A wonderful way to spend time seeing the little Heights area. Lots of families and walkers of all types enjoying the neighborhood by walking down the Heights trail. Stores and juice bars are around and it goes right to the White Oak Bayou. Take a look at the Bike Houston website for a nearby location to rent a bike and cruise the trail in style!

Kids Paradise! This is where we take our kids to tire them out. They have a ton of play equipment a full open field and splash pad and a lot of games that are really generous for a free amenity.

This zoo is HUGE! It's not as famous as Sydney's zoo or San Deigo's zoo, but i've been to both and Houston's Zoo is way underrated and rivals any of the top Zoos in the world
