Relaxation and refinement as only The Breakers can do. In late December 2016, we revealed the legendary Seafood Bar, completely reimagined around its best feature: the stunning Atlantic backdrop. Come for fresher-than-fresh seafood for lunch or dinner. Stay for inspired cocktails or something from our extensive wine-by-the-glass selection. A glamorous new exhibition kitchen puts you at the center of it all. Stroll in as you are and experience the allure of the yachting lifestyle. Bespoke nautical details, beautiful new aquariums, and a front-row seat to the ocean views no matter where you sit. Nothing short of spectacular, this is Palm Beach life at its best.

Inexpensive Worth Ave Lunch - Piccolo Mondo, in Via Mizner, is graced by bougainvillea, seating areas and 1920s architecture by Addison Mizner, who once held sway with his pet parrot and spider monkey. Its lunch entrees are less than $15 — and made with the same high-quality ingredients used at its adjacent upscale sister, Renato’s. Most of the hot and cold pasta dishes — from penne primavera to lasagna — are around $10. The soup of the day is $4 to $6. Salads, served with a ciabatta roll, generally are $9 and $10, including the “Palm Beach” with mixed greens, seasonal fruit, candied pecans and Gorgonzola. Wraps and sandwiches — such as the Caesar salad wrap and grilled-chicken sandwich — are $9 to $11. Non-alcoholic beverages cost between $2 and $4. Though Piccolo Mondo is Italian-leaning, one of its most popular lunch items is a grilled angus-beef burger served with lettuce, tomato, onion and fries. “Once someone tries one, they love it,” Mencias said of the $11.77 burger as she readied for the lunch rush at Piccolo Mondo’s oversized takeout window. Across from Piccolo Mondo, sibling Piccolo Gelato’s refrigerated cases bear colorful and distinctive gelato and sorbetto flavors. Try a cup of two flavors: $5.36.

Inexpensive Worth Ave Lunch - Café Delamar in Via DeMario — mostly takeout, but two tables each seat two —features sandwiches, salads and soups. In the tiny kitchen, the talents of longtime solo chef Morna Ramcharran “means everything to us,” co-owner France Charron said Monday. Café Delamar’s hot and cold sandwiches — served with a pickle and potato chips — are $9.25 to around $10.75. House-made lemon-artichoke pesto spikes a hot grilled chicken sandwich. Greens, grilled chicken, toasted corn, avocado, black beans, feta, tomatoes, cilantro and vinaigrette comprise Café Delamar’s Southwest Salad ($10.25). Coffee drinks cost $2.50 to $3.50 while San Pellegrino, iced tea and other beverages are less than $3.

Inexpensive Worth Ave Lunch - Pink Paradise Café at The Colony isn’t on Worth Avenue — but it’s a stone’s throw from the corner of Worth Avenue and South County Road. Scallop-edged umbrellas shade outdoor table seating. Made-to-order sandwiches and salads generally are $13 to $15. Among them: the “summer” Reuben with smoked turkey, slaw, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing; and a Greek salad with feta, olives, tomatoes cucumber, pepperoncini, red onion and lemon-herb dressing. Starting at $9, pre-made grab-and-go sandwiches at the Pink Paradise Café, 155 Hammon Ave., range from peanut butter and jelly to a smoked-salmon croissant. The café offers kombucha, wine and specialty sparkling waters, but don’t overshoot that $15 lunch budget; consider an espresso ($4.50) made from beans from West Palm Beach-based Floridian Coffee Roasters.

Whether it's a champagne break at a cozy bar or a short walk on the beach, it's window shopping, art and courtyard dining at it's finest.
