While you're already there you can also visit the old radar station w/ guided tours that inform you about its role during the cold war but also about the street art you can find there today.

It's not as close as the Rewe and not as pretty but cheaper and the selection of fruit and veggies is always pretty good.

This is as close as you can get to a discounter (only 400m) and it has all the basics - it's very small, packed w/ stuff and a lot of corners. I think that's why I like it so much. It's not like the modern airy supermarket but more functional but a little chaotic and narrow at the same time.

If you're spending a sunday here, check out the Mauerpark Fleamarket which is in easy walking distance from my place. It has gotten pretty touristy the last years - nevertheless, you can shop great little souvenirs like hand-printed totebags or prints from small local designers and artists.
