Arts & Culture

One of our favourite museums in Cambridge - a mini British Museum with something to interest young and old. They often have free events such as classical music or children's workshops.

Drinks & Nightlife

One of the best wine merchants in the country, this branch also has a wonderful wine bar. A great place to go in the evening for a glass of wine and nibbles.

Sightseeing

One of the highlights of a Cambridge visit. You can visit the chapel free of charge if attending a service (most evenings in term time at 5:30pm, sometimes followed by an organ recital at 6:30pm). An evening song service is a Cambridge highlight and free!

Punting is the best way to see the Cambridge Colleges and is the absolute highlight of a Cambridge visit. You can either hire a punt and punt yourself (cheaper but punting is much harder than it looks) or join a tour (more expensive but your punter will give you lots of interesting information on Cambridge as they punt you down the river).

Food Scene

Stir Cafe and Bakery is a local hangout. Popular with families and remote workers alike - the coffee is fab, the food is delicious, and a lively atmosphere. It's a very popular place for brunch - our favourite is the Stir Brioche Stack :-)

Fitzbillie's is a Cambridge Institution (established in 1921). It does great food and coffee but the Chelsea Bun is what it is most famous for :-)

Parks & Nature

This lovely park is directly across the road from us. A fab place to go for a walk, run, play tennis in the tennis courts, skate in skateboard park, play table tennis, picnic, or swim in the outdoor pool in the summer.

If you'd like a running route or a long, peaceful walk - leave our house and pop across to the river and continue downstream. There is a riverside path away from the road which is great for a walk, run, or cycle.
