Food Scene
This a restaurant like no other in Espoo or Helsinki. The 360° view to the archipelago and the city is astonishing even on a cloudy winter day. It is a pricey restaurant but it is perfect for a chic/casual getaway either for eating or just having some drinks.
We have been there once with our toddler. It was tricky but we still had great time.

Ahhh! this is a FAV among favorites in Espoo. Fantastic beer (the brewery is near by the place), great food and really nice pizza.
For lunch, for afterwork or late dinner with great atmosphere and usually nice staff, we would recommend you pay a visit. Not too pricey, but Finnish level price for a nice place. It is just across Aalto University Metro Station.

If you don't want to go all the way to Helsinki, Don't Worry... They have a vintage pink truck in Iso Omena where you can get a nice sample of their specialities.

It is an iconic place because of a reason. Restaurant + bar + terrace + Saunas + Sea.
Get a spot for the Sauna in advance. In this Sauna everyone is required to wear a swimsuit so, it is a good option for beginners and more self-conscious people.

No matter in which season you visit Espoo, this place will always give you a beautiful view of the baltic sea and the archipelago. During summer their terrace gets transformed into a really nice charcoal burger's bar with a background beat played by a Dj.
Food is usually great and Burgers are Uffff!
When you are done with it, walk along Matinkylä beach which is right next to the Restaurant. If you enjoy cycling, you can arrive/continue along the coast following the very long beach-route

Well, it is a shopping mall but a really nice and convenient one. Size and layout is easy and you will find whatever you are craving for. It is so close to the apartment that you will find yourself many times there. You can access the the Matinkylä metro station and the central bus station from it.
