Below I have selected some of our favorite places within 1 hour of the property. Some are world famous (Acadia National Park), and others, you can only find amongst the tourist clutter with the help of a local. There are so many incredible places to explore in Maine, most for "free", minus gas expense. It would truly take a lifetime to explore all this wonderful state has to offer!
