The nearest supermarket is Şençağ Market up on the main road. A few minutes drive eastwards, towards Tatlısu, you will find H Gül, which has a wider range of products and also fresh meet. A nice market for fresh local fruit and vegetables is situated just where the road goes up to the Esentepe village. There are many large supermarkets along the main road towards Kyrenia, in Çatalköy, Özanköy and Karakum. Supermarkets stay open late and accept both cash and credit/debit cards. A large fruit and vegetable market is the Yabeles in Çatalköy, along the main road towards Kyrenia. During summer there is a big Wednesday market in Kyrenia, nearby the police station, where you can find all sorts of things like food, fruit, nuts and other locally produced delicious things.

During summer, there are a lot of ways to explore the coastline from a boat. Go to the harbour in Kyrenia and the charter boat businesses will tell you what businesses they can offer. The packages include lunch and a few stops for swimming.

Beaches
If you are looking for a long sandy and shallow beach, this is it. There are no sunbeds, but you can hire a parasol from the restaurant. This is where a lot of turtles come from April to June to lay their eggs. If you snorkel during these months, you may be lucky enough to see them near the shore or around the rocks. The nests then hatch in July-September and you can come and take part in this.
There is another beach here which is a bit harder to find. The turn-off for this beach is just after the first big right round to the left, going from Sea Magic on the main road towards Kyrenia. There is a right-hand turn leading to a hairpin bend and sign "Nature Bay". Follow the road and you will drive through what looks like old army barracks. Keep bearing left and you will come to a car park from where you can access this beach. It is beautiful but has no facilities.
