On Sundays, we go to the Hampton Inn's Tiki bar on the boardwalk and listen to Mark the "guitar man" play all kinds of oldies but goodies and sip on a drink while watching the ocean waves. There's nothing quite like it.

Downtown Wilmington is a must-see. It has so many fantastic restaurants and bars. We love Caprice Bistro for supper and Kilwins ice cream for dessert. Then we take a nice leisurely walk on the boardwalk and end it with fun and games at the Blue Post Billards.

The sun is very sneaky here. You don't feel it at all with the nice ocean breeze. Next thing you know, you are very burned and in pain. It has happened too often with my past guests.

When you go to the beach, avoid paying for public parking by walking instead.
