Sightseeing

Take the train up to the Mer de Glace and see the stunning views and the glacier and the ice cave/grotto. A clear indication of the precarious nature our mountain glacial systems are in due to climate change as you can see the substantial retreat of the glacier.

Main supermarket in town. Best to drive to, just double back out the way you came from Geneva on the main highway. Wider selection and cheaper. Don't forget to bring some reusable shopping bags.
