Food Scene

Think a miniature version of the Seattle Public Market Center combined with San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf. It is a small area with a good number of vendors that LOVE what they do and it shows! Their artisan food/products are excellent! There is a eating area indoors, one with benches and low tables on one side and a larger seating area on another side. Hours are limited: from 11AM to 7PM

Mitch's is located right by the water. You could say that it's a fisherman's restaurant. Everything is fresh, local, and delicious! Prices are great! Parking can be a challenge, but you can order to go and take your food home or to the many picnic tables and benches at Shelter Island, Spanish Landing or Harbor Island for some stunning views of the San Diego Bay.

Pretty good food and the serving sizes are massive for their burritos and tacos. Excellent budget choice with great flavor. They open very early and close very late!

Sightseeing

Located at the southern tip of the Point Loma Peninsula. The park offers a view of San Diego's harbor and skyline, as well as Coronado and Naval Air Station North Island. On clear days, a wide expanse of the Pacific Ocean, Tijuana, and Mexico's Coronado Islands are also visible. The Old Point Loma Lighthouse is the highest point in the park and has been a San Diego icon since 1855. The lighthouse was closed in 1891, and a new one opened at a lower elevation, because fog and low clouds often obscured the light at its location 129 meters (422 feet) above sea level. The old lighthouse is now a museum, and visitors may enter it and view some of the living areas there.
