Our 88-acre farm spreads up a steep hillside above the village of Randolph, one mile away. The land is a mixture of open areas where we rotate our sheep flock daily, and wooded land with trails and old stone walls. You might hear the occasional car or truck on a nearby road, but more likely you'll hear our sheep baaing to one another or the cows across the valley trumpeting, or the abundance of birdsong. The energy here is calming and peaceful--we know you will love it as much as we do.

Farm stay in a cozy yurt

Want to be surrounded by nature? Listen to animal sounds? Eat quality food? You're in the right place! The yurt has a full bed. It has electricity for lights and a hot plate. Pots, pans and utensils are available. The compost toilets are in the back. There is no running water inside but we provide a drinking fountain and foot pump sink. An outdoor shower is available near our house. The distance between parking and the yurt is about 150 yards. Petting goats or sheep available. .

Summer season open from (May 8 - Oct 31, 2026) and Winter Season (Jan-April weekends only). We offer one night stays! Enjoy this secluded off grid (solar powered) cosy yurt, eclectic furnishings - situated in a private forest environment. On the deck a BBQ with cooking utensils and patio set are provided in summer - no water during winter season (Nov-April 30) - a small chemical toilet is provided. Our 30' yurt is tucked into the pines overlooking our pasture with mountain views out across the valley. Located in the Jay, it's a perfect base camp for summer hikes, bikes or paddles in the Adirondacks. Sheep and chickens graze the pastures Grab some farm meats for the grill after a big day in the mountains and enjoy a meal in our new outdoor kitchen space after a hot rinse in the outdoor shower. SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
