Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision

Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. Hidden away on a beautiful private estate in the Scottish Borders, Garden Cottage is a charming stone retreat for up to four guests. Overlooking a walled garden and close to the River Tweed, it’s perfect for walkers, cyclists, and anyone seeking fresh air and relaxation. From the doorstep, you can join scenic trails and connect to the Southern Upland Way. Enjoy tennis, fishing, and easy access to Glentress Mountain Biking Centre, or take a short train ride into Edinburgh for a day in the city.

Visit this incredible stargazing location in the wilds of Northumberland National Park & Dark Sky Park with stunning views across Hadrian’s Wall at the bottom of our garden. We’re on Cycle Route 72, Pennine Way, a pub 2 mins walk, museums and cafe on your doorstep.

Eskfield, spa cottage with private walled garden

Eskfield is food for the soul, a fabulous, ancient property immersed in nature to provide a wellness experience like no other. Stay here in one of the most important features of the Penicuik Designed Landscape, a Palladian house built in 1714, harboured within a one and a half hectare walled garden. With a burn running through a beautiful wildflower meadow, this is a nature sanctuary that you will not want to leave. Nestled in the outhouses is a sauna leading to a handmade cedar hot tub.

'Courtyard Cottage' is situated in a courtyard - previously stables and tastefully converted to a high standard. Easy driving distance of the A74(M), with good rail & bus links. The cottage provides the ideal base to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the area. Plenty of lovely walks, sailing, fishing, wild life and great night skies. Perfect to kick back and relax after a day of exploring the many attractions and scenery. parking is available.

The Black Triangle Cabin

The Black Triangle Cabin is a peaceful getaway situated on our property just outside of Jedburgh, a historic town in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The Cabin sleeps 2 people in a king size bed, with a separate living/kitchen space boasting views through the woods and across the fields. If you keep an eye out, you may see the deer that pass through regularly, or even hear our resident owl. Ideally located only an hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle and the St Abbs coastline.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Ord’s Loft - Old Town Historic Apartment

Ord’s Loft, situated in White Horse Close, is one of the most desirable and unique properties in Edinburgh’s old town. Positioned on the top floor of what was once the White Horse Coaching Inn, built by Laurence Ord in 1624, the loft is entered by the iconic steps seen in so many photos of Edinburgh. The outlook south over the courtyard is Holyrood Palace, Arthurs Seat, the Scottish Parliament and the Old Town while to the rear it looks up to Regent Road and Calton Hill.
