Just under two hours from Chicago and only 1/2 mile from Hagar Beach, this beautifully updated 100-year-old cabin offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. Surrounded by tranquil landscapes and towering trees, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Tucked along a quiet dirt road, the cabin is ideally located 15 minutes from South Haven and 10 minutes from St. Joseph making it close enough for dining, shopping, and activities, yet far enough to unwind in nature’s calm.

Lake Michigan Moon Barn

Welcome to your home away from home that we lovingly call the Moon Barn. We are situated in between South Haven and Saugatuck just a mile away from a hiking trail with public access to a Lake Michigan beach. Our home was built in remembrance of a family barn that sat on this location generations ago. It has natural barn wood and art works integrated throughout the house. Downstairs has a complete kitchen, dining area, spacious living room with a gas fire place, full bathroom, and a piano!

2 private bedrooms, 2 loft spaces, sleeps 8. Surrounded by conservation and wildlife. It is a rustic and eclectic, recently refinished 70’s cabin. It is surrounded by woods and trails and easily accessed by road. With modern amenities and upgrades, Redwood is the perfect getaway that provides a unique cabin experience with all of the expected comforts of home. A large screened porch is the ultimate place to spend time and embrace the location, nestled within mature trees on a large, private lot. Redwood is a quick drive to downtown Saugatuck/Douglas and a short walk to the lake bluff or Douglas public beach.

Come back from the cold and treat yourself to a private hot tub. Explore the trail around 34 acres, discovering all kinds of winter wildlife. Great location near South Haven and all it has to offer. Many attractions in the area, but this cabin is so cozy you might find yourself staying in.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is nestled to the back of the 3.6 acres of a private wooded land with a short walk to the all sport lake. The updated home features two bedrooms, sleeping loft, family room, washer/dryer, all the amenities of home. Enjoy the 160 ft of lakefront off our private dock. We have 2 kayaks, a Canoe and a small fishing boat, floaties and life vests for boating or swimming. Enjoy a day at the lake, cook dinner on one of our grills and enjoy the evening by the firepit.

This cabin sleeps 8 comfortably. A heated pool and lake access are available from Memorial Day to mid September. Full-size washer & dryer in the cabin for your convenience. For larger groups, ask about availability to also rent one of our affiliated cabins nearby.
