Definitely private which was awesome for us as we were trying to get away anyhow. There is a bit of a walk to the door but that’s not too much of an issue at all. Over all, as it was my first time reserving a place on Air BNB, Virginia made it very easy and clear which made it a great experience!!

Beautiful home, in an amazing setting. It’s so quiet you can easily hear the frogs jump into the pond. The home itself was super comfortable, and the bedrooms were really nice. Host clearly pays attention to detail; there were loads of extra towels and linens, and extras of everything including toothbrushes. Very secluded location so be prepared, 7-11 is not down the street lol. Endless number of things to do around the area; there are over 20 covered bridges north of Pitman, mostly around Elysburg, which is where Knoebels Amusement park is. We saw 5 of them. Hiking trails nearby too, one very close was at Weiser State Forest at Taylorsville, easy parking and only 10 minute drive. We missed out on the Kenny Stehr and Sons Farmer’s Market, which was not open when we were there, but we picked up some farm items at Red Hill Harvest, which has an incredible self-serve kiosk. The best part is the pond with the babbling mountain spring feeding it, very calm and relaxing.

BEAUTIFUL place!! Unique, spacious and updated - everything was sparkling like new. The towels/linens smelled freshly laundered and the whole apt was super clean. Moises responded immediately to my texts, allowed us to check in early AND it was snowy/icy when we left and he told us to take our time leaving; didn’t rush us out at 11am. He made sure the driveway was shoveled & salted. Lansford is a 20- minute drive to Jim Thorpe and there are a few great little bars near the rental. Highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again! Great value too! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

My stay was great! The Hawk Mountain North and South Lookout trails are nearby and a nice hike for something to do. Mostly though I had a quiet, peaceful time .

We really enjoyed our stay at Arlene’s cabin, set on a beautiful piece of property. It wasn’t perfectly easy to find but Arlene compensated for that with extra clear communication, met us in person to show us where the cabin actually sits on the property. Would definitely stay again

Marian & Ivan’s place was exactly as pictured in the photos. House was very clean, and fully stocked with pots, pans, spices, cups, plates, etc.. We cooked breakfast & dinner everyday there. The views are awesome & it’s very quiet. My personal favorite was relaxing in the hammock / taking the rowboat out on the lake. The aesthetics of the home are also very nice. You can see the remodel process — in a picture book Marian has there. It was amazing to see what they put into this place from what it was. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a nice, quiet & relaxing getaway from our everyday lifestyles. ….If you’re a hiker - the views at pulpit rock are a must see. (Was about a 20min drive from cabin).

Great place to enjoy some quality family time. The Cabin by the Creek is a really nice place to be stay. A very tranquil and beautiful location not far from Jim Thorpe. Really enjoyed the 70’s style and listening to vinyl records. Also liked the musical styled decor. Eating dinner and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit by the creek are just some memories that we will always cherish as a family.

Thank you for a beautiful stay! It was really fun with a lot to do in the area! The kids loved the horses and the firepit. It was a great location, peaceful with a beautiful view. It was close to town with great restaurants and nearby trails.

This is our second visit to the cabin on the creek. The interior is charming and cozy and perfect for family board game nights. Short drive over to the town of Jim Thorp and state parks.

It was easy to find, The Cabin was warm and clean with everything you need, They sell firewood which is helpful. The firepit setting was perfect, The night time sky is perfect, Its worth a trip.

The cabin was absolutely pristine. The surroundings were quiet and cozy. An absolute beautiful place. Will be booking again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
