A super house for the family from 2 to 62! We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Although it blew a hoolie all the time we were there, it did not stop us playing in the garden and enjoying the hot tub. Local beaches are fantastic for kids and dog alike. A joy to find them so clean and unspoilt.

The house was perfect for 5 adults and 5 children for our 3 night stay: clean and comfortable, plenty of crockery and cutlery for all ten of us, a table that seated us all, a lounge we all wanted to take home, a garden for the children to play in, lambs to feed, what more could we want? Hand wash, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen. We parked 3 minutes down the road to kayak on the Loch and walked up the path to see Grey Mare's tail waterfall. There is a cafe and also toilets by the Loch. It was busy in the car park when we arrived on the Sunday, but ok after that. This is a great place for lovers of the outdoors. Bring a good book and games for the evenings and you're set up. We would all return to this lovely place.

Absolutely perfect, we only stayed for one night. Such peaceful surroundings,skylarks and beautiful garden. Very clean. Great shower. Parking right outside. The doggos are friendly. Nina and her husband chatty and helpful. We would definitely return. Thank you

A perfect home from home stay to spend with family. Thanks to Jane and her co hosts for the kind welcome basket :) The house is beautifully presented, clean and spacious. The hot tub was a fantastic addition to an already fantastic house! We were fortunate with the sunny warm weather so also to enjoy the spacious garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recommend to travellers looking for a large property to stay in just outside Edinburgh.

Amazing porters lodge, beautiful attention to detail, very comfortable. Hot tub was an absolute treat. All the facilities to cook during your stay. Perfect place to escape for a relaxing weekend with some lovely walks on the doorstep. Will absolutely be back one day!

A fantastic cottage and a real find! A great location for exploring Northumberland. The cottage was spotless and really roomy. A beautiful log burner for cosy nights. The furniture and beds were super comfy. The kitchen has everything you need. The hot tub is massive and very welcome after a days walking. Mark and Rhiannon should be really proud of this cottage and I would highly recommend and will definitely look to return when next in Northumberland!

Welcoming host who communicated well - clear instructions and responded swiftly to messages. Nice little house in a quiet neighbourhood that was 5-minutes from the train station (we were a 10-minute train ride into Edinburgh centre). Also, within a 15-minute walk of grocery stores and takeaways. Parking was available (if needed) and Edinburgh Zoo was close by too.

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

superb flat with the best views over the beautiful town of Peebles. We felt at home immediately, when everything you would need. Claire was super helpful and we will definitely be back.

We stayed in Amy’s house for 2 nights when competing in the local race. Place is as described in the ad. We had everything we needed. We liked the powerful hot shower!! Tv is tiny, size of the laptop. Didn’t bother us because we weren’t watching it, but if that’s what you wanted it wouldn’t be ideal. It’s a great value for money! With local shop, restaurant and takeaways within few minutes.

Absolutely lovely house and in nice little village. Everything that was promised was delivered, we had a lovely little hamper too with tea and coffee which was a lovely touch! The hot tub was stunning and the garden was a very good size. Our only issues were that this was a 4 person hot tub, for a house that sleeps 5 so wasn't the best fit - also the kitchen lacked a couple of pans/equipment if you were wanting to cook each meal. But would definitely return again and would recommend!!! Thank you :)

Wonderful and cosy apartment right on the bank of the Tweed river. Terry is a great host, friendly, responsive and willing to help with local recommendations! We have had a great time staying at Terry’s place!

A very cosy appartment, we felt right at home. It's central and everything in Peebles is within walking distance. Can highly recommend.

We had a really lovely stay! Place was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the lodge were amazing and could sit outside watching the sheep and horses. The hot tub was an added bonus On our second night we went to the local pub called The Craws Inn - food was amazing Easy to drive to St Abb’s and Eyemouth from where we stayed. Thank you for a great stay!

It was great wee place to stay to break up our journey, before heading further up North. Very cosy cabin & we loved the addition of the log burner. Having the garden was a real bonus for our two small dogs.

I had such a wonderful stay at this unique riverside caravan park accommodation! From the moment I arrived, I felt relaxed and welcomed. The place was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed—from a comfy bed to a small kitchenette that made mornings by the river even better. The location is absolutely stunning—right by the water, surrounded by nature, and super peaceful. River was a highlight. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to town for supplies or a nice meal out. The host was fantastic—friendly, responsive. I’d definitely come back!

Wat een geweldige accomodatie. Het is ontzettend privé, mooi, compleet, nieuw, erg schoon en groter dan je denkt. De locatie is idyllisch met een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en schattige schaapjes in je voortuin, waar je ook nog een heerlijk bad hebt. Mitchel was ook heel vriendelijk en hielp ons met goede tips om de stad in te komen. Dat is overigens heel gemakkelijk. Op 4 minuten rijden zit het eindpunt van een busstation waar iedere 20 minuten een bus de stad in gaat. Deze accomodatie was net iets duurder dan wij normaal aan budget aanhouden, maar deze ruimte is het meer dan waard. We hebben 2,5 week in Schotland en we weten zeker dat deze plek het hoogtepunt van alle overnachtingen is. Deze plek is 100% aan te raden.

An exceptional find! We came here for a girls’ weekend away and couldn’t have loved it more. The house is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and you get the bonus of seeing lots of farm animals. The house was exceptionally well equipped and Laura went above and beyond with her recommendations. Truly unique and peaceful, we hope to come back in the future.

Serene. That is the best way to describe this area. The pods are a perfect, non intrusive way to enjoy the landscape.
