This place was exactly what we were looking for and needed. Great time fishing for three days. Dean is a great host. We will be back in the fall.

Loved our first time staying on the Southern Comfort! Amazing back porch right on the river, loved watching the boats going by. For anyone concerned about movement of the houseboat as boats go by, it was not noticeable. We had a thunderstorm one evening with gusty winds and rain, and still did not notice any movement of the houseboat. Interior was very clean and well supplied. The location was perfect, we could easily walk to the shops and restaurants of Apalachicola. We will be back soon!

While the place isn't fancy, it is an actual houseboat after all, it was awesome. Comfortable bed but views to die for and you are literally having you morning coffee, watching the sunrise and are literally 1 foot from the water. The river is a very active one...we saw manatee, gators, gar and hundred of mullet jumping out of the water. the best was the shrimp boats at dusk...you really have to experience this place. and ps. walking distance to downtown Apalachicola is a real bonus

Great little place if you’re looking to stay in the area—not far from Monroe. No internet in the unit and the service can be spotty depending on which carrier you use.

Our group of 17 had a lot more fun. We were comfortable and had plenty of space to mingle relax and enjoy our weekend. The charter boats picked us up right off the back of the boat. Accommodations were comfortable and everyone just simply enjoyed the unique layout of the rooms/showers and bar area. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful place to stay! Very quiet and enjoyable. We were down for my son’s fishing tournament and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! Highly recommend Sam & Susie’s restaurant … it was amazing!! Great little down town area! If ever in the area again will definitely rebook!

When you are fishing or hunting in Venice every minute counts... having the boat in the water just a few steps from your bed puts you first in line to buy bait & first to the fishing spot! After you've caught your limit, skip the wait at the marina cleaning table, mark has got a private cleaning table & ice machine on the pier to make it that much easier for you! The houseboat was clean, comfortable and made our fishing trip a breeze! Plenty of linens, ice cold A/C & comfortable beds made our sleep a 10/10. I have stay in many motels, hotels and other Airbnb's in Venice but I will definitely be back to this one!

The houseboat was absolutely delightful, exuding a charming, cozy atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. Every detail matched the description perfectly, ensuring a seamless experience. It’s important to closely adhere to all the provided instructions for a worry-free stay. Take special care when it comes to parking; make sure to park on the right side of the boat ramp, as tow trucks frequently patrol the right side during the night. This place is nothing short of amazing, especially if you’ve arranged to spend the night aboard a pontoon—you’ll truly enjoy the serene surroundings and peaceful ambiance!

Beautiful sunrises, sunsets, scenery. Plenty of wildlife. Even photographed a bald eagle hunting on the river. Plenty of room inside for 3 people. Could barely even notice the creaking and waves at night. Secluded, yet close to city life. We did have a run in with some wasps, Brandon came out and sprayed for us. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves so much we didn’t want to leave!!

Very nice place to stay. The ice machine was having issues but the host responded quickly and was doing what they could to fix any issues. Great place, will stay again!

We stayed a week-it was perfect! This is truly a one of a kind vacation experience and we will absolutely be back. The hosts were very easy to work with and helpful and attentive while we were there. There are some rustic aspects of the experience but those are well defined ahead of time and even after 6 nights we would have gladly stayed longer if they could have accommodated us.

I would definitely recommend. Just what I was looking for. Everything was to be as expected. Only thing I would say is bring bug spray, when the frogs get to going mosquitoes do come out. But was nice just being on the water. All to be expected when you’re on the water, and the screened in porch was great! Nothing bad to say about the place, we loved it!

Found this place last minute and ended up working out great and had good communication with the host. No issues . Hot shower and docked my boat to the house pretty easily .

Amy’s place was a great and unique stay for anyone looking to stay in a house boat! We were in the area for a fishing trip, and this was the perfect location. The charters picked us up right from the back of the house. Then we were able to fish off the dock, and caught a 40 lb drum!! Very clean house and comfy beds. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking to come to Venice for a fishing trip!

The Tigers Den 2 was an amazing stay for myself, as well as the rest of the fishing party! The layout makes you feel right at home, you could fish off of the sides and you're as close to prime fishing as you can get, without wading out there! I definitely recommend and will be looking forward to booming again for our next trip!

We have stayed at Summer's place multiple times and she is an amazing host. We like the convenience of her location and home. We always try to get her place if we are staying in the area.
