This was a large beautiful home with a ton of character. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay together as a family instead of at a hotel so we could hang out after putting the kids to bed. This was an awesome house for our situation, having tons of beds/upstairs bedrooms. We were able to fit our entire family and separate the kids from the noise on the main level! We were so grateful to find this place that fit our needs perfectly. It was a very well taken care of place and made our stay work out perfectly!

Bobby was a wonderful host, very friendly and had great stories. The place was nice, comfortable and clean. Bobby was very responsive to any of our needs and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there if in that area and if we go back to iowa will be staying with bobby again.

The barn was a very a very beautiful and restful retreat after a family funeral. The host was very helpful and accommodating with our unique schedule needs. The space is particularly grounding, from the stone tile floor to the horses in the fields and the weeping Willow tree at the front door. The place is filled with peace and quiet comfort.

Second time staying. Love how peaceful it is. Great place to get away from everything, yet close enough to places to eat or shop.

Hello. I just wanted to leave our experience at this place, it’s being amazing. We just had a little concern about the shower situation I wish we had more water pressure. Te rest of the house was just good enough for all of us. One more thing is that the patio is just good there is a lot of space but when it gets night is really dark we can’t really see anything, I wish there was at least one post light outside so we can have more view at night . And spend more time outside. If we had more light outdoors it could had made it a little better ! But thank you for having this place it’s been amazing

Amber went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Her 100 year+ home is in a historic district of Council Bluffs adjacent to the Gilbralter Neighborhood Trailhead. Several of our family members took advantage of its proximity and went hiking during our visit. Her home is a mix of old and new - 19th and early 20th century craftsmanship, such as a beautiful central staircase, combined with 21st century technology such as WiFi, and numerous televisions throughout the expansive home. Fun amenities include a pinball machine and a treadmill for exercise. My family especially enjoyed competing on the pinball machine. Amber’s home was stocked with all sorts of treats ranging from muffins to a charcuterie tray. Whenever we had a question either about something in the home or some activity in the area, Amber was very quick to respond. I’ve stayed in numerous vacation rental properties. This one stands out in all the right ways. I would definitely recommend.
