No issues, host was responsive and helpful, and the house was exactly as we expected!

We were pleasantly surprised to find a second bedroom in Katie's cozy cottage. It is PERFECT for a couple, but became awesome for a 3rd adult when the office was converted to a second bedroom. A couch was unfolded into a second bed and the 3 of us had a great stay. Katie's view of the lake from her backyard balcony is spectacular...the trees are starting to regain their leaves - once they are in full bloom the view will be second to none. Nightly catfish jumps at 5:30 and numerous Blue Herron sightings were a reminder that we were far from the fast world of the city. The amenities were plenty, we even had access to a printer, something we haven't experienced before. Our Grandkids, the Kroger, Bulleit Burbon and numerous restaurants were just 15 minutes away - while Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger, and all of the other downtown distilleries are just 45 minutes away. Great couples stay - Great host!

Well. We didn’t (yet) have the pleasure of staying at Chell’s lovely home in Shelbyville - due to the terrible storms our flights were cancelled - but I have never had a better experience with communication about this situation and she has been more than helpful and we will be rebooking our trip when the weather is more agreeable. I will stay - we have stayed in most of the houses for rent in downtown Shelbyville and I was super excited to try her home out (set up and location seems perfect for our needs). I look forward to getting to stay in her beautiful home in the near future!!!

Gorgeous country estate with lots to do inside and out. Tons of space for large groups as well as entertaining. loved the design and furnishings as well as the beautiful surroundings. The house was very well appointed with cooking utensils and everything one would need

Spent the weekend for a bachelor party, this property was amazing!! Super private, plenty of space and great amenities. Our host had such great recommendations for distilleries, places to eat, and golf. Just an amazing stay and an amazing home. If you are looking for a place to stay along the bourbon trail, do yourself a favor and book this one!!

Your place was absolutely amazing. The perfect old country home. The beds were super comfortable the kitchen has everything you need. The fire pit is an awesome perk to the property. I asked about going fishing and they were able to give me fantastic directions and we were able to catch some fish. I will definitely stay again when we come next year. Thank you so much for your hospitality and all your help during our trip.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Bagdad Bootlegger! The house was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. Matt & Carrie were outstanding hosts—friendly, responsive, and super helpful. They answered any questions I had promptly and even went above and beyond by offering multiple great recommendations for when questions arised. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ experience, and it shows in every detail of the home. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommended!

Very nice place in a great little area

Devin was such a great communicator..before..during and after the the stay! check-in was exactly by the book! unfortunately mother was not on our side during our trip so we didn't get to enjoy the pool and hot tub which was the reason we booked..but it was still a really cozy evening to celebrate our anniversary!

The apartment is located within walking distance of 4th Street Live and many restaurants. It is spacious and comfortable. Tyler sent very detailed instructions on every aspect of our stay. I plan to stay here again on our next visit to Louisville.

Everything was great. The only comment is that the description and everything on listing says it's a King size bed. it for sure is only a queen. You can even tell by the pictures that it is only a queen, so my suspicions were right. Luckily, it was just me and my husband but when we travel with our toddler she sleeps in the middle of us and queen bed would not have worked for us.

My stay here was wonderful. The apartment is beautiful and so peaceful and serene. The bathroom is gorgeous, the bed was so comfy. Kathy was wonderful to speak to and I felt right at home. I would absolutely stay here again if I am ever back this way.

I had a wonderful stay with Bethany. She was responsive and understanding of anything I asked. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was clean as well. I appreciate her letting me stay in her air bnb. I would definitely rebook with her.

Good Place to stay.

We LOVED our time here. It was perfect. So peaceful. The cabin was so cozy and clean. It was decorated very cute. It had everything we needed. We loved it!! The owners were so nice and responsive. There was a boil water advisory while we were there (due to the floods), and they brought us bottled water. Definitely a place I want to come back to.

We loved staying here and it was the perfect location for our family Easter! I truly can’t say enough great things about this cabin and the owners! It was very clean and well appointed with anything you need and the owners were very accommodating and kind! They helped with a couple requests, including a pack and play and high chair. We were able to cook a large Easter dinner with the stocked kitchen appliances and cookware. The property is very serene with plenty of privacy and great options for hiking around. The location is also not too far to get to the grocery store and restaurants. Lastly, the pool table and hot tub were a hit! We highly recommend to stay here and know we will definitely be back for another stay!

The Captains’ Cabin is a cozy and comfortable place to escape one’s routine. Our hosts provided an unexpected welcome tray and had the fireplace ready to light. An amazing, historic home beautifully redone.

Affordable, beautiful and unique little place perfect for a couple, but we are proof it even works for a family of 4 😊 Kim and Ryan were very attentive and responded immediately to every question we had and made every step of our stay easy and enjoyable. We really loved the playground and all the animals, especially the cats who were very friendly...and the goats as well! We will definitely be back for our next trek down south! Thanks so much!

The cabin was beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet. It was very clean and nicely furnished. We felt right at home. Very comfy. We loved having a fire at night. The donkeys were cute and we had a visit from their dog. We were in the middle of the bourbon trail and got to go to several distilleries. Nice location. We enjoyed our stay.

Josh was a great host. He responded to inquiries quickly, and provided useful information regarding his property and local things to see/do, and dining options. His place is perfect for a getaway with your dog! Our Golden loved exploring the property, especially the creek! Our pug enjoyed just lounging around. I loved the beautiful Virginia Bluebells by the creek. This cabin was perfect for our short one-night stay.
